After a short 10 km drive, arrive at the park and set off on a 4-mile coastal trail, winding through pristine wilderness. Follow in the footsteps of Charles Darwin, who sailed the Beagle Channel in 1833, and become an explorer of this historic waterway, originally called the Onashaga Channel by the Ona people, its first navigators.
At the scheduled time, head to the tourist pier in the heart of Ushuaia and embark on a 3-hour boat journey along the iconic Beagle Channel. Enjoy stunning views of Ushuaia Bay, with the city framed by the majestic Martial Glacier, and discover the channel’s rich marine wildlife, including colonies of cormorants and playful fur seals lounging on Alicia Island.

day 7 - Explore the Perito Moreno Glacier
Your day begins early with a pickup from your hotel in El Calafate. Travel 80 km to Los Glaciares National Park, where you’ll board the Cruz del Sur vessel at Punta Bandera Port and set sail into the Canal de los Témpanos on Lake Argentino.
Your first stop is Bahía Toro, where you’ll disembark for an interpretive walk through the Patagonian Andean forest, guided by an expert. The trail leads to a serene waterfall, with breathtaking views of the hanging glaciers on Cerro Mayo and Cerro Negro visible from the lake’s shore. After this short, easy walk (approx. 700 m on flat terrain), return to the boat for a brief 15-minute sail to the next destination.
At Cerro Negro, begin a slightly longer trek through lush forest along a scenic river trail toward the base of the hill. Here, admire the Black Glacier, a hanging glacier that feeds cascading waterfalls into the river. Take time to soak in the natural beauty of this extraordinary site before heading back to the boat (approx. 1,000 m; medium difficulty with gentle slopes).
Back aboard, leave Seno Mayo and re-enter the Canal de los Témpanos. Soon, the imposing north wall of the Perito Moreno Glacier comes into view. Disembark at Puerto Perito Moreno to explore the glacier’s famous walkways, enjoying free time to marvel at this natural wonder from multiple viewpoints.
At the designated time, regroup and return to the boat for the journey back to Punta Bandera Port, then transfer back to your hotel in El Calafate, completing a day filled with unforgettable sights and experiences.

day 8 - Free Day in El Calafate
Today is a free day in El Calafate, giving you the chance to relax or explore the city at your own pace.
If you’re looking for adventure, consider an optional 4×4 and mountain biking tour. Just ten minutes outside of town, a 3,000-foot-high hill offers stunning views of Lake Argentino, Mount Fitz Roy, and Torre. Ride in a 4×4 to the top, spotting the Perito Moreno Glacier emerging from La Cordillera de los Andes. Along the way, discover archaeological treasures like millenary shark teeth and petrified oysters from different geological periods.
For the second part of the adventure, hop on a mountain bike to return to El Calafate. This morning, you will be picked up from your hotel and driven to Foz do Iguaçu National Park on the Brazilian side of the falls. Be sure to bring your passport!
While Argentina hosts 80% of Iguazú Falls, Brazil offers the best panoramic views. On the Argentine side, you feel immersed in the falls’ power, but from the Brazilian side, you can truly appreciate their vastness and grandeur.
Upon arrival at the park, board a bus accompanied by your guide to reach the falls. Stroll along the walkways, feel the refreshing spray on your face, and take in the stunning vistas. Walk along the boardwalk over Salto Santa María, where it feels like you’re walking on water! From there, get closer to the Devil’s Throat and witness the sheer force and energy of the cascading water.
At the end of the tour, return by bus to the park entrance, where your transport will take you back to your hotel.
