Experiencing the Best of Java with guide Hasron (Ron) and a wonderful group of international travellers was enriching and fun. We met local people, ate at local restaurants, cycled through rice paddies and villages, climbed impressive ancient temples with specialist guides, saw how Batik, tempeh and bricks were made, watched traditional musical dance performances and even participated in performing songs with anklungs, stayed with a village family and heard how they live in peace despite three different religions, climbed Mt Bromo and watched the sunrise. So much packed into one week and I didn’t even mention the delicious food! I would highly recommend this tour and our wonderful guide, Hasron. Thank you, Hasron, for all your attention to the details that made the tour run so smoothly, your willingness to share your culture with us and your wonderful sense of humour. « Sha-la-la-la-la! » Terimakasih!!

The CEO was very organized and everything went smoothly. He was very enthusiastic, personable and knowledgeable. The destinations showcased the diversity and rich history of Indonesia well.

So much more than I could had expected. I had little knowledge about Indonesia but now it has become one of my favourite countries.

I would try the more upscale version of adventures(National Geographic)next time

Wow! Travelling with G Adventures is always a fantastic experience and this tour was no different. We loved every part of it and Dewa was a fantastic CEO, showing us some incredible places!

A wonderful trip through a lesser travelled area of Indonesia. Our awesome CEO Mangun showed us the best of Indonesian culture and its people who were among the kindest, and most sincere I?ve ever met. The tour is quite travel heavy at the start but comes into its own in the final 2/3. The trip to Mt Bromo was my highlight!

Had a very enjoyable trip through Java due to a great tour leader and wonderful tour participants. Learned a lot about the history Java and various Indonesian cultures. Itinerary needs to be improved as too many long travel days on this short tour. Enjoyed many Indonesian dishes and some great coffee. Good variety of activities from Hindu and Buddhist temples, to biking, and walking up the Mt Bromo volcano.

A very capable guide, good hotel accommodation, an interesting programme with a variety of optional extras for all tastes. Much time is spent travelling as Java is a very big island. Rainseason set in and spoilt some fun - and the homestay must be better managed.
