This half-day tour to Tierra del Fuego National Park, the “End of the World,” is ideal for the whole family, offering a chance to explore the most important points of this unique national reserve while enjoying its stunning scenery and fascinating stories.
Located just 11 km from Ushuaia, the park features lakes, lagoons, rivers, and its outlet to the Beagle Channel — a characteristic that sets it apart from other national parks in Argentina. From the port, the route follows Maipú Avenue southwest along National Route 3, passing the outskirts of the city until reaching the slopes of Monte Susana, a site that preserves the history of the convicts from the old prison and the station of the Austral Fueguino Railway. Here, passengers have the option to take the Train of the End of the World.
Those who choose not to ride the train will visit the Bahia Ensenada area, with views of Redonda and Estorbo Islands and the Nevado Mountains of the Sampaio Chain (Chile) across the Beagle Channel. After the train experience, the group reunites to continue along a narrow path showcasing the diverse flora of Tierra del Fuego. The trail leads to Roca Lake, where a walk along the lake and Lapataia River provides scenic vistas. The landscape is dominated by Cerro Cóndor, whose peak extends into Chile.
The tour continues to the park’s endpoint at Lapataia Bay, passing by a beaver dam along the way. This immersive journey offers visitors a complete experience of Tierra del Fuego’s unique natural beauty.
