day 1 - Full-day guided tour of Smyrna & Pergamon
Welcome to Izmir(Smyrna). Meet your tour guide at the airport and head out to explore some of Christianity's holiest sites. See the Church of Saint Polycarp whose faithfuls were praised in a letter by Saint Paul. Travel to Pergamon after that and visit the Church of Pergamon.
day 2 - Thyatira, Sardis & Philadelphia tours
Discover the three churches of Thyatira, Sardis and Philadelphia. Thyatira was a commercial town in antiquity with strong ties to Troy and Sardis. Similarly, Sardis was the capital of the ancient kingdom of Lydia. Philadelphia is the youngest among the Seven Churches of Asia. Each site is one hour away from other.
Spend the night in Hierapolis.
day 3 - Hierapolis, Laodicea & Pamukkale tours
Head for Laodicea after breakfast. This is the place to which John addressed his letter concerning the waning faith of the city. Your next destination in today's itinerary is Hierapolis, where Saint Philip was martyred in 1AD. See the calcified terraces of Pamukkale before heading back to your hotel in the city. Stay overnight in Kusadasi.
day 4 - Ephesus tour & Turkey departure
