On the whole a great itinerary. I would drop the Sunderbans though, since the chance of seeing any wildlife while sailing for hours up and down the middle of the river is unlikely, especially since the animals are behind a fence. We had an excellent tour leader, Kiran who is warm, very informed and energetic and who certainly went that extra mile in solving problems and caring for everyone. The local guides who travelled with us were also great, as were the drivers. The hotels in India were the Summit hotels, an Indian chain. They are clean and quite well organised. However since those in Sikkim were out of town we were forced to eat dinner in the hotels which produced the identical menu. It would have been better to have spent the bits of free time we had in Sikkim in the towns themselves.

I recently completed the Island Peak climbing expedition and it was nothing short of incredible! From the start to the summit, everything was well-organized, safe, and filled with unforgettable moments.
Dendi, my guide, was an absolute star. His professionalism and experience were evident from day one. Not only did he guide me through the trek and the climb with expertise, but he also shared so much knowledge about the culture, the landscapes, and climbing techniques. His calm demeanor and encouragement, especially during the more challenging sections, gave me the confidence I needed to push through. Whether it was pacing ourselves on the way up, helping with gear, or ensuring we stayed safe on the glacier, Dendi was exceptional.
Prakash, the manager and owner of this tour company, was also fantastic. From my first inquiry, he made the whole process so smooth. His communication was clear, and he made sure all my questions were answered promptly. I felt like I was in great hands from the get-go. The logistics of the trip, including permits, transportation, and accommodations, were all taken care of seamlessly. Prakash checked in regularly, which made me feel valued and well-supported throughout the experience.
The Island Peak itself was a thrilling adventure. The beauty of the Khumbu region combined with the excitement of scaling a 6,000-meter peak made it one of the most memorable experiences of my life. The views from the summit were simply breathtaking – standing there with the mighty Everest in the backdrop was beyond words.

Beautiful country. Amazing tour guides. Enjoyed the scenery, the tours, and the hike to the Tiger's Nest Monastery ( which was the highlight of the trip ). The hotels and the food (all buffet) were good. The tour guide and the driver were spectacular. All of the people I encountered in Bhutan were friendly and welcoming.

The rides started easy and flat, and became progressively harder with increasingly longer hills as we headed into the mountains. The slow pace suited my ability. The spinning classes I did as preparation definitely paid off. The heat and humidity were challenging! Road conditions were better than expected.
The bikes could have been in better condition- the mechanic was great in sorting out issues on the way.
Most of the participants missed their various connecting flights arranged by Explore, including us! Arriving at 5am and having to be prepared to cycle at 8.30am wasn’t fun! Explore really need to consider this as I think it’s a regular occurrence!

We had an amazing experience trekking for 12 days to EBC! Everything from when we first landed in Kathmandu to when we left was awesome. "This tour company organized my 10-day trip in India, which included visits through Delhi, Agra with the Taj Mahal, Ranthambore for a safari, Jaipur, and Varanasi. Overall, this felt like a perfect introduction to India, with each city offering completely different experiences in a concise manner. In addition, the tour operator offered additional options in each city that further tailored the experience based on individual preferences. Just a great, organized set-up where it felt that you were able to enjoy the cultural experience - while at the same time having the appropriate amount of time to refresh/reset for a holiday. The value/cost of the tour - from service, experience, hotels, etc - was great.
The entire tour was very well set-up from start to finish, and could not have been more happy with the entire experience. In every instance, there are experienced individuals to assist you in every aspect of the visit to avoid any confusion or lost time - from pick-up at the airport to private drivers to reputable tour guides. The private driver throughout the tour was a great, kind individual and felt very safe throughout the trip. Further, the tour guides selected by the tour operator were great. You could tell that this company had developed a very good niche in the market over time with hiring/selecting these individuals, given their vast experience and knowledge; in addition to their desire to answer all questions and hold good dialogue and conversation throughout the tour (everyone spoke very good English for Westerners).
Finally, the main contact points organizing and managing the trip were exceptional. They always available for any further assistance (even calling my upon arrival) - which all added to the personal touch of the experience. Also, in my case, I actually forgot some personal items on my trip back to India and they assisted with shipping back to me. You can very much tell that these individuals made huge efforts throughout to make the most out of this unbelievable experience. AMAZING!!! Everyone we met through this company was just incredible and went above and beyond. Suman was our guide and he is the absolute the sweetest. He made the trek unforgettable. He is so knowledgeable - we felt so safe with him and he had an answer to everything! The prep chats the night before were the best. He made sure we knew what to expect the next day, and made sure we were always ok. Ramesh was also the greatest. He made us laugh so much and spent so much time with us. It was such a treat overall. We hiked to base camp and then to Gokyo Lake. It was a beautiful trek. We did need medical help and Suman made sure everything went so smoothly. Prior to the trek, we were in contact with Upendra, who was always prompt to respond, very kind, organized, and detailed. I cannot recommend them enough!!! Thank you for this wonderful experience!!!
