After many days of hard trekking, the steadfast trekkers are rewarded with panoramic views of the eastern Himalayas, including Chamlang, Peak 6, Peak 7 and of Makalu itself, the world’s fifth highest mountain. The experience and serenity of camping in alpine meadows at the base of Mt. Makalu, while sitting back and enjoying the Himalayan panorama is absolutely spectacular. In fact, this trek is generally spectacular!

There is nothing quite like seeing Mt. Everest up close. The world’s highest peak commands a presence like no other mountain. The people who live in the mountains here aptly call Mt. Everest "the Mother Goddess of the World" because of its sublime majesty.
We are pleased to be able to offer you the Everest-at-a-glance trek, a moderate trek suitable for anyone in average physical condition. This trip is a total of twelve days, of which six are actual trekking. When it comes to panoramic views, the Everest at glance Trek offers views that are second to none. Not only does Mt. Everest dominate the Himalayan skyline, but many other mighty peaks are visible, including several others that rank in the top ten peaks in the world.
The Khumbu region (land of Mt. Everest) is home to amazing glacial-fed rivers that tumble over rocks and waterfalls on their way to the Bay of Bengal deep in the south. There are hidden Buddhist monasteries framed picturesquely with the snow-capped peaks as backdrops. Entire villages cling to the sides of the cliffs along with their terraced farms.
You will also encounter the history, the culture and the legends of Nepal, and meet people from the various ethnic groups that call this tiny Himalayan country home. Their faith, family values and tenacity for life will impress you as much or more than the exquisite scenery that makes this land famous with travellers around the world.
Come and join in the adventure of a lifetime as you discover the Mt. Everest region for yourself.
Are you looking for a climbing challenge? Join our super adventure climbing program that includes the three most famous peaks in the Everest Region: Pokalde Peak, Island Peak, and Lobuche East Peak. Our program has been carefully designed with a gradual ascent, proper acclimatization, and escalating complexity in mind. We are sure that the sense of accomplishment you will experience after scaling three of the most famous Peaks in the Everest region will linger in your memory forever!
Pokalde Peak or the Dolma Ri (5806m) is comparatively the easiest climb. Island Peak (6,189m), originally known as the Imja Tse, is located in the heart of the Everest region and derives its name from its striking location in the middle of the Chhukung valley, like an Island on a sea of ice. It is a tougher climb than Pokalde, but still, Mount Lobuche East (6119m) climb is the most challenging of the three.
We'll begin our trip following the famous Everest trail via Namche, Tengboche, and Dingboche. The trail to Pokalde Peak deviates from Dingboche while following through the usual route to Everest Base Camp. We will cross the Kongma La pass (5,535 meters) to reach the high camp of the peak. The trek from the camp through the rocky trail eventually rewards you with an extraordinary mountain spectacle including Mt Makalu, Ama Dablam, Pumori, and a vast mountain vista of the Khumbu region. After summiting Pokalde Peak, we trek to Chhukung for our next target, Island Peak. Hard efforts getting to the top of Island peak are worth finding Lhotse, Nuptse, Baruntse, Ama Dablam and Makalu at tip of your nose. Having done Island peak we descend down to Dingboche, trek up to Everest Base camp and Kala Patthar and move forward to Lobuche East peak. Having done with Lobuche East peak, one of the most challenging among 'trekkers peaks' in the Everest region we retrace our path to Lukla via Namche with a sense of achievement.

Langtang is the nearest trek to the Himalayas from Kathmandu. On this guided trek, reach up to and back from the lap of the Himalayas in just 10 short days. This Himalayan adventure takes you across the pristine landscape of the Langtang region as you discover the local ethnic culture and the highland life of Nepal.
Although a Himalayan adventure, it is moderately difficult trekking. With the stunning panoramas of the highest peaks in the world, you will also pass through numerous local villages and get a deeper understanding of the culture along the trail. You will find stunning close-up views of the surrounding peaks and glaciers of Langtang Lirung (7,246 m), Kimshung (6,781 m) and Langshisha Ri (6,370 m).

But the region has quickly gotten back to its feet and is welcoming visitors again. This might also be a great opportunity to understand the impact of the disaster in the country, if you choose to do so.
In addition to the Langtang Valley Trek, the region also offers an incredible trek across the Ganjo La Pass and provides more opportunities to explore its cultural wonders. You can also extend this trip to Gosainkunda to make it Langtang Gosainkunda Trek.

This comprehensive tour of Nepal takes you on a journey across one of the most spectacularly beautiful countries in the world. Amazing mountain scenery mixed with lush, wildlife rich jungles, ancient hilltop villages stand in contrast to the hustle and bustle of Kathmandu.
Our 15-day tour begins with a walking tour of Kathmandu before we drive to Chitwan National Park in the lowland Terai region of Nepal, close to the Indian border. There's an option available today to do an afternoon of exciting white water rafting on the Trisuli river, en-route to the park. We have two nights at a wildlife lodge at Chitwan, and enjoy a range of activities in the park, including a jungle walk, traditional river canoe trip and jeep safari. Outside the park we'll take a rural village walk to see how the local Tharu people live, and an early morning bird watching walk is also available for those keen. Chitwan is famous for its population of Asian rhinos, and there are also numerous other animals and birds to see including several species of deer and monkeys, wild boar, sloth bear, elephants, gharial and mugger crocodiles, and if you're very lucky you may catch a glimpse of a tiger too.
Next we head to the hilltop Newari town of Bandipur, the centre of which has been carefully restored and is well worth exploring. After some great mountain views from here we head to the lakeside town of Pokhara at the foot of the Annapurna range before starting a 5-day trek through the Himalayan foothills to the spectacular viewpoint of Poon Hill. We stay in locally owned trekking lodges and experienced guides and porters will accompany you on the trek. This is a moderate trek with a couple of long days and plenty of up and down, but you certainly don't need to be super-fit. You'll walk through a wide variety of landscapes and countryside including riverside trails, rhododendron forests, terraced farmland and grassy ridges, always enjoying different views of the mighty Annapurna range above you.
After a little free time to relax in Pokhara after the trek we return to Kathmandu and spend a night at the village of Nagarkot, perched on the rim of the Kathmandu Valley. After a morning sunrise and hopefully stunning views of the Himalayas, including Mount Everest in the far distance, we return to Kathmandu via Bhaktapur, where we take time to enjoy the wonderful, intricately carved, wooden architecture of the traditional Hindu temples and surrounding buildings. The tour then ends back in Kathmandu.
For those looking for a less active tour of Nepal, you may consider our Nepal Exposed tour, which follows a similar itinerary, but without the 5-day trek.
