The trek to the summit may be a challenge for some travellers, but it requires no mountaineering experience and the panoramic view from the summit makes all the efforts worthwhile. This trek is an intensive two days: the first day hiking around five hours up to the refuge, and the second day to the summit (around four hours) and back to Imlil (another four hours).The ascent is non-technical and only moderately difficult, and we even provide a mule to help carry your luggage. I’ve completely fallen in love with the Atlas Mountains and the kind people who live there. The trail is beautiful and takes you through varied and geologically interesting landscapes. We did the walk in December, and there hadn’t been snowfall yet, so the walk itself wasn’t overly strenuous giving us the chance to take in the surroundings and put the world to rights, and time to explore the villages in the evenings. We were fortunate enough to have clear skies every night - in the small villages the view of the stars is incredible! Highly recommend it! Thanks Youssef and Mustafa!
