4 Day Lares Trek To Machu Picchu - 4 Days

Lares Trek to Machu Picchu - 4 days

We booked this tour after learning that Inca trail passes were sold out for our dates. However I don't regret a bit of choosing this tour as we experienced a real beauty of Peru far from the touristy paths. Our guide Wilfredo was amazing. He shared with us a lot of interesting facts about Inca's people and their culture. The hike was quite challenging for me personally but with his help and support I got through it with the minimal discomfort. I highly recommend bringing rainproof jackets or ponchos on the trip regardless of how nice the weather seems to be. We got tricked by the sunny morning and were soaked in the afternoon. Also it gets very very cold in the mountains at night. Please layer up and have pair of gloves on you. SPF is a must thing to use even on a cloudy day. My nose got burned from the cold wind and a sun and starting peeling. Bring coca candies or leaves with you. Helps a lot with the altitude sickness. Overall me and my friend were very happy with the trip!

I can't recommend this tour enough. Well organized, amazing experience. Hiking was beautiful and the porters and staff were so hard working, they carried everything, set-up camp for us every day/night and allowed guests to immerse in the magic of the Incan culture and natural beauty unencumbered. Also - the food, which was cooked fresh every day for breakfast, lunch and dinner was delicious, healthy and made with care.

Inca Jungle Trail To Machu Picchu: Biking And Hiking - 4 Days

Inca Jungle trail to Machu Picchu: Biking and Hiking - 4 days

The Inca Jungle trek to Machu Picchu is by far the most adventurous trekking option in the Cusco region. It is also the most varied in terms of activities. The Inca Jungle Trail adventure includes sections of biking and on foot, crossing mountains, valleys, rivers, indigenous towns, cocoa and coffee plantations, and a huge variety of fruit trees on this 4-day route. You will also soak in healthy and relaxing hot springs before finishing this amazing adventure in Machu Picchu. The Inca Jungle Trail is a very good alternative for the classic Inca Trail, which is usually very busy or sold out months in advance.

As our guide would say "The point is this, my friends"... and the day begins. This was one of the best experience I have had. Our guide - Gary - made sure we were on schedule on the trek. He explained to us all the pros and cons and how to get the most out of the Inca Trail. The porters were great. The chef - Julio - made the best camp meals for vegetarians. The scenery is breathtaking. Yes it may seem long and a lot of walking but its worth it. The team made the whole journey worthwhile - from booking to the end. Rosmel - our booking contact kept us informed all the time. Don't hesitate, just do it. Great guide, chef and company. Mahesh
