Asia is famous for its street food, with each country being so unique and diverse. Vietnam is no exception and the street food of Hanoi should not be missed by any traveller! Vietnamese food has a lot to offer, but finding where and what is the main challenge when visiting the bustling Old Town of Hanoi. On this tour, our expert guide takes you by the hand and allows you to sample some of the most famous dishes to some of Vietnams hidden delights.
We start the street food walking tour with an insight into traditional Vietnamese food at different eateries. Well, the first stop is near the Hoan Kiem Lake called "Bun Cha". It is mixed grilled pork meat with noodle and sweet & sour sauce.
Then, we could continue to tour with other food. On the way, the guide will tell about history of the Old Quarter and Hanoi whilst you observe locals' daily life and work.
The guide will then take you to one of the best cafés in Hanoi. You'll be so surprised until you savor the drink with an off-putting name yet delicious taste - egg-coffee.
Next, you'll go to Quan Chuong Gate - an architectural work and a cultural, historical and geographical vestige of Hanoi. This gate has been one of the twenty-one city gates of Hanoi since 1749. We'll also stop by the traditional house at 87 Ma May street is typical of the traditional architecture in the Old Quarter. It was recognized as Vietnamese National Heritage in 2004.
When we leave the old house, it's time for drinks. Enjoy local beer (draught beer) with chips at the "international" corner Ta Hien where each night, hundreds of travelers and a large number of locals flock here to hang out. Rest on small plastic stools, drink beer and observe the local daily life of the Old Quarter.
If your stomach still has some space, keep going to try the steamed rice pancake rolls (banh cuon). This dish is made from rice starch and maybe grilled pork, if you choose.
We finish the tour at Hoan Kiem lake. Before saying goodbye, the guide will tell a legend story referring to this lake. Then, you can either continue exploring on your own, take a taxi or ask the guide's assistance for directions to get back the hotel and suggestions anything.
We were a group traveling together, and this tour was enjoyable. Each country offered something different. The highlight for us was definitely exploring Angkor Wat, Hoi An - lantern town and unwind on Phuket beaches together, unforgettable. Thank you to the team for making it easy to enjoy every moment.

On your must-do list during your time in Hanoi should be a rickshaw ride and water puppets. This tour combines both of these and even throws in a dinner on top.
One of the best ways to actually see Hanoi is from a seat in a rickshaw (locally known as cyclo). You can see how each street is dedicated to one particular product creating unique features such as bamboo street or party street.
The water puppets, a culturally unique performance shows how rural life, folklore and legend takes place. The best in the city is the Thang Long theatre where we shall take you.
Itinerary:

It’s been weeks since we came back, and still can’t stop thinking about this amazing journey. Everything was taken care of, and the service was beyond our expectations. Temples tour in Bangkok, Ha Long Bay cruise and explore Mekong Delta were my favorites! Thanks team, we’ll be back for more!
Tessa really did an amazing job arranging this tour. All the services was perfectly organized. We have no complain and we can’t wait to go back to Vietnam!
Out travel expert was very helpful during my planning stages when I made multiple enquiries regarding my itinerary. I also wish to mention the warm hospitality of all the staff at the tour company, my wife and I had a wonderful time and we will return soon.
Halong Bay is incredibly beautiful, Pu Luong has such fascinating natural scenery and culture, and Hanoi with its vibrant atmosphere and people is something I truly loved. The drivers and guides were friendly and fun to hang out with, and I have no complaints about the accommodations. I’m so happy that I chose this travel operator for this trip. I was always supported by the team, who paid attention to every detail and answered my questions quickly, even in the middle of the night. I will definitely use this company for my next trip to Vietnam.
