The itinerary for this trip was exactly what we were looking for. It was a great way to see Portugal highlights while traveling with friends who I haven't seen in a while. Highlights were time spent in Duoro Valley and all the great food and wine consumed in the beuatiful locations along the way.

1- Fátima – 150 kilometers (90 miles) north of Lisbon we arriving to our destination: the religious capital of Portugal! In Fátima, you’ll spend time exploring the religious site, visiting the Chapel of Apparitions to see the stone pillar that marks the spot where Virgin Mary appeared, the Shrine that is twice the size of St Peter's Square in the Vatican, the Basilica of Our Lady of the Rosary of Fátima and absolving all the religious atmosphere and serenity that this whole location offers! Your guide will give you space and time to enjoy the sight, but of course give you all the information, insight, interesting facts and everything you need to know about Fátima and the Portuguese Catholic and religious traditions!
In 1917 a religious event changed the history of this location for ever, when three young shepherds witnessed successive apparitions of Our Lady of Fatima (another name for the Virgin Mary) turning Fátima, into one of the most important landmarks in the Marian worship, drawing pilgrims from all over the world.
At the other end of Fatima’s Shire the Most Holy Trinity Church – Lesser Basilica, from 2007 is an amazing modern piece of architecture, without intermediate supports and with a total capacity of about 8,700 people.
2 - We leave Fátima’s shire but our Tour is not over yet! To make this day trip even more complete we take you to a small local village, 2km away, location where the three young shepherds (responsible for the importance of Fatima’s landmark) were born and lives! You will get the real inside of their life’s and costumes and get a better context about this entire location and its importance!
Fatima is a landmark not just for Portugal history, but also for the catholic worship worldwide – it’s definitely a place to go, let us take you there!
Art lovers like me, this one’s for you. Portugal dazzled with art and faith. Two features jumped out immediately: Lisbon’s Monastery of Jeronimos, a Manueline masterpiece and Fatima, a place of deep meaning. Wandering Nazare’s windy cliffs and watching Atlantic surf pound felt elemental.
Obidos’ castle and ramparts invited daydreams of knights and medieval poets. The Gothic arches of Batalha took my breath away. Porto's tile-covered churches and artistic heritage felt soulful as we sampled local port wines beside the Douro River.
The highlight was Coimbra, Europe’s amazing academic city, steeped in history and tradition. The old university chapel’s 18th-century Portuguese Baroque design left me speechless.
Guides were enthusiastic and informative. If you love art, faith, and ocean air, this tour is a rich tapestry not to be missed.
