We had a great time on our walk. Everything went as described, including detailed information pre-tour, accomodation and luggage transfers. The Camino Norte was phenomenally beautiful although was harder physically than we had expected. It was our first multi-day trek and the more training you can do pre-trip (especially hills) the better. Day 2 was particularly hard but then your body adjusts and you get into a rhythm of the day. We are already planning our next trek.

An excellent week in beautiful surroundings led by an experienced and knowledgeable leader. You really do feel part of the family at the Casa Cipriano. As well as being a great leader, Juan Jose is kind, funny and engaging and takes care to make sure that everyone is looked after. The food at the hotel was excellent and well exceeded expectations. Overall the tour offers exceptional value for money. Almost everything is included in the price and the farewell dinner is very much worth it.

We walked the Camino Norte which was spectacular and challenging some days. Overall we were very satisfied with UTracks. Their accommodations were basically good, sometimes we were pleasantly surprised and sometimes they were less than we hoped. We would consider booking again with UTracks.

Walk the entire length of one of the original Camino routes followed by pilgrims walking to Santiago. 'El Camino del Norte' originates from the 9th Century and was one of the original Camino routes for pilgrims walking to Santiago de Compostela. Sheltered from the rest of the Muslim dominated Iberian Peninsula by the Picos de Europa and Cordillera Cantabrica, it was considered the safest route for Christian pilgrims making their way to the tomb of St James. The full route starts in Irun near the French border and joins the French route at Arzua. This walk begins in the vibrant city of Bilbao with the iconic Guggenheim museum, before continuing along the dramatic coastline through Cantabria and the Asturias region. From Ribadeo, gateway to Galicia the route veers south passing through historic villages enroute to Santiago de Compostela. Enjoy a variety of landscapes and architecture, both ancient and modern, while staying in small hotels with local character. The dramatic coastline of the Bay of Biscay and mountain paths make the northern way both challenging and rewarding, whilst the quieter trails offer a great alternative to the more popular French route.
