It's pretty much exactly as described. This trip is all about the highlights of these countries. You're not seeing much off the beaten track, but you are going with a very experienced guide who knows the areas and their history like the back of their hand.
The trip was pretty fast paced but we had a couple of days in between to relax and enjoy areas at our own pace. My friend who joined me on the tour and I had an absolute blast. We're both 25 and the youngest in the group by approximately 30 years, but by the end it made no difference at all and we all got on very well.
Honestly, a great first experience of Southeast Asia, we stayed in beautiful accommodation, everything went so smoothly and nothing went wrong. Loved it.

My friend introduced me to this tour operator. After speaking with Kiara, we had a suitable itinerary. Our mission was straightforward: book a round-way ticket to Vietnam and enjoy the trip. They coordinated really efficiently and provided competent services. There are no mistakes on the tour, which I enjoyed. All of the hotels were in central locations, making it easy for us to walk about or find local restaurants. The daily trips were scheduled on time, and transportation was comfortable. We traveled from the north to the south of Vietnam. Visiting many famous and beautiful sights, including Hanoi, Halong Bay, Pu Luong, the Golden Bridge, Ho Chi Minh, and the Mekong Delta. Vietnam with intro was such an incredible experience thanks to our fantastic leader Michelle! Honourable mention to Jas and Tim as leaders-in-training who will be amazing. The whole trip was so enjoyable and engaging, and I genuinely cant remember the last time I had that much fun. Michelle was amazing in any scenario thrown her way, and nothing was ever too big of an issue to solve! I consistently felt so safe and reassured with the team. From cultural experiences of war tunnels and walking tours to incredible boat rides and fun nights out this has been one of the best holidays of my life. I would absolutely recommend to anyone solo travelling because you will meet such amazing people along the way. I wish I could do it all over again!

This trip was honestly everything we hoped for and more. Every place we visited felt special in its own way, and the whole itinerary just flowed so smoothly. We got to see the famous sights, but also had moments that felt really personal—like sitting with Mr. Duoc in Ba Vi, hearing his stories from the war. It was something we’ll never forget.
Mrs. Chin's cooking class in her garden kitchen was another favorite—she made us feel so welcome, and the food was amazing.
We also found some great little restaurants along the way (shoutout to the grilled eggplant in Hoi An—wow).

We really enjoyed this comprehensive tour of Vietnam. Including time in more rural areas as well as the well known cities and sites, it gave us a great insight into local culture and there was plenty of opportunity to meet the locals who were incredibly friendly. The trip ran seemlesly in the extremely capable hands of our tour leader Diem, one of the best we've had (this was our 6th family holiday with Explore). Highlights would include all of the bike rides, exploring Tam Coc caves by boat, Saigon by cyclo, the amazing food, so fresh and plentiful, and the kids loved haggling for bargains in the markets and shops (especially Hoi An). Accommodation and transport were both of a great standard. Well done Explore!
