Upon arrival at the Cochin airport or railway station, we will transfer you to Munnar on the first day of the tour. See hills covered with cardamom and tea plantations en route to this famous hill station. Head for Thakkady on the third day of the trip. On Day 4, you will get to experience quintessential Kerala while cruising in the backwaters of Aleppey.
Spend the night in the house boat before transferring to Kovalam the next day. Relax on its sandy beaches and explore the surrounding areas. We will drive you to the airport in Trivandrum on the last day of the tour. Since this is a self-guided trip, you will not have a guide by your side. This was a most fabulous trip - a fantastic mix of cycling and sampling local culture. We had a really good guide Shibu and his team. We loved Kerala and the mix of experiences on this trip. We liked the level which was leisurely /moderate - ideal in such a hot country we wish there were more trips available at this level. We loved the food and have had withdrawal cravings on return to the UK from such delicious fare! We had a great group of people on this tour they also helped to make it a brilliant experience.

My partner and I thoroughly enjoyed our time on this tour! The scenery throughout was incredible, and it was a great contrast to time spent in India’s North visiting the Golden Triangle. Walking in Periyar Wildlife Sanctuary, a tour of a spice farm, and time on the houseboat in the backwaters were particular highlights. Pacing of the trip was good, with multiple nights in some of the towns, in between longer drives.
Our driver, Noufel, had a good grasp of English, and was very helpful. The tour company and their staff were also very communicative via WhatsApp, and checked in throughout to ensure everything was going well. Our hotels were comfortable and served good food. Most had AC (though it wasn’t really needed in Munnar due to the altitude).
Visiting in Summer, there wasn’t so much wildlife, but the scenery everywhere was still amazing!

My G Adventures tour was incredible. I can?t recommend it enough. I was worried with it being my first solo group tour. But the trip was planned so well and I could completely relax and not have to think or plan much. I will definitely be doing more tours.

I thoroughly enjoyed this cycling tour of a tiny gem of India called Kerala. We saw Indians at work and were humbled by their hard work and joyful manner. The traffic was a bit crazy, but we felt so safe with the support of our driver and mechanics. Glorious hills and seascape. We had time for rest, swimming and shopping too. Thank you. It was fabulous

A really enjoyable trip led by Abhi our lovely young guide. Kerala is beautiful and we were able to experience the contrast between the mountains and the backwaters. The food provided on the trek by Sheila and her team was amazing.
