Embark on a captivating 12-day journey through Egypt, where ancient wonders meet coastal relaxation. This tour offers a comprehensive itinerary that combines the iconic historical sites of Cairo, Aswan, and Luxor with the bohemian charm of Dahab on the Red Sea. The adventure begins in Cairo, where you will stand in awe before the Great Pyramids and the Sphinx of Giza and delve into the treasures of the Egyptian Museum. A comfortable overnight sleeper train then takes you south to Aswan, the gateway to ancient Nubian culture. Here, you will visit the beautiful Philae Temple and spend a night in a traditional Nubian village, immersing yourself in the local way of life.
The tour's exploration of Upper Egypt continues with a truly authentic experience: a sailing trip down the majestic River Nile on a traditional felucca. As you are expertly navigated by a Nubian crew, you will witness the serene beauty of the river and enjoy the simple pleasure of sleeping on deck under the stars. The journey then leads to the legendary city of Luxor, often called the world's greatest open-air museum. You will explore the Valley of the Kings, the magnificent Temple of Queen Hatshepsut, and the colossal Karnak Temple complex, all brought to life by the knowledge of an expert Egyptologist guide.
The final phase of the tour transitions from historical discovery to seaside relaxation. Travelling through the stunning Sinai region, you will arrive at the coastal town of Dahab. This friendly, laid-back resort offers two full days of free time to relax on its golden beaches, snorkel or dive in the famous Red Sea, or explore the protected natural areas. Optional excursions, such as visiting the Coloured Canyon or Mount Sinai, are also available. The trip concludes with a return to Cairo before your departure, leaving you with memories of Egypt's unparalleled history and its beautiful, sun-drenched coast

Stone Town is the old city and cultural heart of Zanzibar where little has changed in the last 200 years. It is a place of winding alleys, bustling bazaars, mosques and grand Arab houses whose original owners vied with each other over the extravagance of their dwellings. This one-upmanship is particularly reflected in the brass-studded, carved, wooden doors – there are more than 500 different examples of this handiwork. You can spend many idle hours and days just wandering through the fascinating labyrinth of narrow streets and alleyways.
This is a walking tour that takes you through the fabled Stone Town, where history appears to stand still. We’ll visit the House of Wonders, the former slave market for the East African Slave trade, and the Arab Fort, amongst others, taking a fascinating look at the essence of Zanzibar.
You will see Zanzibar’s bustling market, winding alleyways, ornately carved and studded doors, two cathedrals and countless mosques! Stone Town also has some excellent gift shops with plenty of souvenirs and handicrafts to choose from.
Your knowledgeable tour guide will entertain you with not only funny stories of Stone Town but also cruel stories that tell about life in the old times of Stone Town.
This half day trip includes the guide and all entrance fees.
Suggested itinerary:
Visit the Anglican Church, built by Bishop Steers in 1874. Visit the Sultan Palace Museum, House of Wonders & the central market. Visit the Peace Memorial Museum.
One of the great features for those that decide to come and visit Tarangire National Park is that it is still relatively un-crowded (which can be an issue in other parks). Tarangire National Park has the highest density of elephants in North Tanzania and you can view these animals all year round in which the herds often can reach an impressive number of 300 animals.
You will witness an unforgettable natural wonder as you can observe wonderful creatures such as lions, giraffes, buffaloes, wildebeests and zebras as well as various types of antelopes and gazelles and with a little luck, you can also spot a python.
Around lunch time, you will stop at a suitable picnic place before the afternoon starts, which is is dedicated to more wildlife watching. Before sunset, you will be taken back to your desired destination, be that either Arusha or Moshi.

This is a short 4 day budget safari showcasing the very best of 3 of Northern Tanzania National Parks, starting with Lake Manyara with its flocks of flamingos to world renowned Serengeti National park, culminating at the 8th Natural Wonder of the World, The Ngorongoro Crater...
Accommodation is budget campsites while transport is in 4x4 safari land cruisers...
The Ngorongoro Crater is a breathtakingly beautiful setting and the best place in Tanzania to see the Big Five. However, as one of the world's most astonishing and renowned natural wonders, the Ngorongoro Crater does get busy, and at times very busy. Due to the crowds we recommend a two-night stay only here, then moving on to the Serengeti for a quieter, more private safari experience.
The crater and surrounding highlands together form one of Africa's most beautiful regions. Volcanic craters form stunning backdrops to some of the most fertile and richest grazing grounds in Africa. The most famous such crater is without question Ngorongoro, the world’s largest intact volcanic caldera and home to the highest density of big game in Africa, including all the big five and plenty of predators. Ngorongoro is justifiably one of the continent's most famous safari destinations.
Any Northern Tanzania Safari should ideally include a visit to the Serengeti: it is one of the most beautiful natural wildlife safari sites in the world, home to the Great Migration, and an exceptional place to interact with people from the Maasai tribe.

Visit the Jozani forest and explore this natural part of Zanzibar, home to several habitats including swamp forest, evergreen thickets, mangroves, as well as a variety of wildlife, including sykes and red colobus monkeys, bush pigs, Ader’s duiker and suni antelopes, elephant shrews, chameleons and lots of birdlife.
The Jozani forest is best known for its kirks red colobus monkeys (kima punju in swahili), which are endemic to Zanzibar. About 10 years ago, the monkeys were considered to be in danger of extinction, but this trend has since reversed due to the conservation project. There are about 6000 red colobus monkeys now residing in Jozani Forest.
After visiting the monkeys, walk across to the Pete-Jozani mangrove boardwalk, which entwines through coral thicket vegetation, mangrove forests and across a creek. The mangrove forest is extremely crucial to Zanzibar’s ecosystems, providing a habitat for many lizards, snakes and birdlife as well as preventing the coastal erosion.
Jozani Forest is situated 38km southeast of Stone Town. In 1995, the Jozani Chwaka Bay Conservation Project was set up to protect the largest remaining patch of indigenous ground-water forest that used to cover Zanzibar. Local communities are involved in the project and some of your entrance fee contributes to development projects and to compensate local farmers whose crops are often damaged by the red colobus monkeys.
Book this 3-day trip with us and get the chance to enjoy guided gorilla trekking in Bwindi Impenetrable Forest Nation Park. The national park has been so named because of the dense undergrowth as well as vines and creepers that festoon the trees, making it difficult to travel through even as the mysterious, haunting atmosphere they create is awesome.
Drive to the national park on the first day of the trip. Check into your accommodation upon arriving there late in the afternoon after which you are free for the rest of the day. Travel through the forest on the second day of the trip in search of gorillas. Upon spotting the band of gorillas that has been assigned to you, you can spend around an hour watching them before hiking back to your accommodation.
We will drive you back to Kampala after the trip is over. In case you want an accommodation upgrade, you can always write to us by clicking on the blue 'Make An Enquiry' button on the top right of the tour page. For more details, please go through the itinerary below.

Uganda is a land of contrasts. In half a day you can drive from mist-shrouded volcanic mountains to hot hazy savannah, dappled with wildlife. First, we head to Kibale National Park and surely, and you will be left amazed by the presence of primates here. Step into this pristine tropical rainforest and encounter human's closest relation with the wild - the Chimpanzees.
We'll also take you to Queen Elizabeth National Park, the home of the famous tree-climbing lions in Uganda. On the game drives, you will be able to see animals such as lions, elephants, buffaloes, antelopes, warthogs and many different bird species. During the boat ride on Kazinga channel, look for hippos, crocodiles, aquatic bird species, and other animals at the shores quenching their thirst and grazing.

Very fast paced but we get a lot of activities is that make it worth it. Our tour manager *Personal details removed by Feefo* was the best. He’s very knowledgeable, keeps us on track, and made the bus rides so much fun. We had a few activities cancel due to weather but *Personal details removed by Feefo* always made sure there was more to do to make up for it.
Witness first-hand all that is fantastic about South Africa - stunning beaches, dense forests and abundant marine and bush wildlife. We visit the most southerly point in Africa, venture along the world-renowned Garden Route, the lesser-known Wild Coast and explore the mountainous kingdom of Lesotho.
Note: This is one of our Overland Adventures which are run using one of our specialist famous yellow overland expedition trucks. Trips are run on a participatory basis – you’ll be involved in the day to day running of the trip and have fun taking turns helping to shop and cook for the group. Expect to sometimes get dusty and dishevelled and not to be able to have hot showers every night. Groups of up to 24 people are led by our crew of two.
Please note that the accommodation on this trip is predominantly camping, though there may be opportunities to upgrade this locally where rooms are available. Please see the trip inclusions for an approximate percentage of camping and room nights.
