The whole trip was amazing. The organisation was great, guides superb and game viewing simply stunning.
It was very hot, much hotter than I expected but the activities were early morning or evening which made everything bearable. The wild camping days were great fun, if very basic, but a great experience. Our guide Onary was a fantastic cook and some of our best food was in that wild camp.
This Was an Awesome Experience Last week my husband and I finally did the 6 days private Kilimanjaro Machame route trek after a lot of uncertainties owing to Coronavirus related travel restrictions. Amos advised us to take add an extra day for acclimatization and we are very glad that we took his advice. Our actual experience is a lifelong experience of the pleasure and pain that came with trek. Were it not for the amazing climbing crew with Epa as the senior guide, we definitely would not have made it safely to the summit. They ensured our safety and comfort all through the 6 days, their expertise, experience and motivation led us to Uhuru Peak. Everything from the daily trekking distances, equipment, food, water, tents, sleeping bags, chemical toilet, first-aid boxwas well planned for.This was an awesome experience
Abydos & Luxor fantastic tour I have spent the last 3 days visiting Abydos & Dendara (1 day) and Luxor (2 days) with my guide Ahmed Haggag Ali. First of all, I would highly recommend Abydos to anyone (even if it is way out of any route, +3h by car from Luxor). Abydos is truly a special place, thanks to its colorful paintings and design. And Ahmed provided me with all the history and explanations related to this temple. He knows eveything!! He has been able to answer all of my questions so far (and believe me, I have had a lot!) We later had a delicious 'fuul' in a local restaurant (see pic). Luxor is, of course, a must see if you plan to visit Egypt. I spent one day in the east bank and another in the west bank. The Karnak and Luxor temples on the East bank are fascinating, and the Valley of the Kings in the West bank has beautiful tombs. Of the 3 tombs I visited, Ramses III was my favourite, extremely colorful. If you have the budget, I also recommend the hot air balloon trip, which is just breathtaking. I will spend 3 more days with my guide Ahmed Haggag Ali to visit Edfu & Kom Ombo, Aswan and Abu Simbel, and I am very much looking forward to it!
