Crowds are poor until the road near Lava Tower joins the Machame route. Then the road travels on a trail known as the Southern Circuit under Kilimanjaro’s Southern Ice Field before climbing from Barafu. During the ascent, you often have excellent views of Mt. Meru, west of Kilimanjaro, and Kenya. The descent is via the Mweka road.

Known as the "Coca-Cola" route, the Marangu route is a classic trek on Mount Kilimanjaro. It is the oldest, most well established route. Many favor the Marangu route because it is considered to be the easiest path on the mountain, given its gradual slope. It is also the only route which offers sleeping huts in dormitory style accommodations.
The minimum days required for this route is five, although the probability of successfully reaching the top in that time period is quite low. Spending an extra acclimatization day on the mountain is highly recommended when climbing Klimanjaro using the Marangu route.
However, despite its immense popularity, we avoid leading climbs on the Marangu route. The route has the least scenic variety of all the routes because the ascent and descent are done on the same path and it is the most crowded route for that reason. Marangu is favored during the rainy season, where the hut accommodations are preferred over wet ground, or for those who only have five days to climb Kilimanjaro.

Discover the wildlife of Tanzania in this six-day safari adventure that will take you to Mukumi and Nyerere national parks. The tour starts from the city of Dar es Salaam from where you will be picked up and transferred to Mikumi Natinoal Park.
The open horizons and abundant wildlife of the Mkata Floodplain, the fashionable centrepiece of Mikumi, draw frequent comparisons to the more famous Serengeti plains. This itinerary was a great way to see all the highlights Egypt has to offer. Along with a fantastic Tour Director this is the perfect trip for anyone interested in the history. Part of the itinerary was a cruise on the Nile. The ship and crew were fantastic and it was easily one of my favorite parts. With daily stops and chances to bond with other Travellers it was so much fun.
This Trafalgar tour includes both ancient history and current day industry. It was very interesting to see how they make different items today in Egypt.
The food provided with the itinerary was great, options for everyone.
