I really enjoyed the trip and the way camping was mixed into the other accommodations.
However, it would have been nice to have some more options for Cape Town add-ons, even if we couldn’t do all of them. I.e see Nelson Mandela’s prison. I also think the township tour should be an inclusion.
The walking safari in Zambia was a bit too expensive though, considering we only did like 30-40min of walking.

Just 2.5 hours from Johannesburg you will find the Pilanesberg Game Reserve, one of the best places in South Africa to see the famous Big 5 (the elephant, rhino, buffalo, lion and leopard).
Pilanesberg Game Reserve is also one the most important geological sites on earth. The reserve has very unique geological features due to an extinct mega volcano which erupted 1.2 million years ago. Start your day early by arriving at the Pilansberg Game Reserve gate by 8:00 (8:30 at the latest). From here you will begin your game drive through the park. Along the way the tour will stop at points of interest. Stop at the Pilanesberg Centre for lunch where you will have the opportunity to photograph the animals that come to drink at the waterhole and maybe also purchase some typical African souvenirs.
After a delicious lunch, get back on game drive mode looking to spot more of the local wildlife.

"The most breathtaking experiences courtesy of this local tour operator. The safari gave my family an opportunity to connect with local communities. Lovely trip, this is my second explore trip, the first was a very experienced guide in Costa Rica, Nathi was our guide for this one he said he was new to explore, what he lacked in explore experience he gained in his buzzing personality and local knowledge, he was a great kind and considerate guide nothing was too much trouble. He arranged things and recommend things sharing his knowledge freely. As he gets more experience he’ll be a great asset to Explore. You never know what people you’ll get on such a holiday and I’m always a bit apprehensive since I don’t suffer fools. Fortunately everyone seemed to bond by the end of the 2 weeks. Re the itinerary it was a good balance, maybe include the wine tasting as part of it instead of an option.
