Reviews of our Patagonia Guided Tours
Guests share how our guided trips made Patagonia seamless and insightful.
I especially loved the stunning Irish coastal scenery, like rhe Cliffs of Mohr and the Northernmost ones. Kissing the Blarney Stone was a memorable adventure. And our guide, Michael Talbot, couldn’t have been more wonderful. His informative or amusing stories during our bus rides were great. One “extra” I would cut was the “pub entertainment night” in Derry. The food there was inedible, and the entertainment felt repetitive and went on too long.
From start to finish the trip was everything I could have wanted. The train segment was beautiful and we enjoyed lots of yummy food while watching the amazing scenery . The National parks were all so unique and each one incredible to see and explore. The tour manager provided lots of geological knowledge of how each park was formed. He was professional but friendly. Our bus driver was also very good. My favorite parks were Arches and Bryce for the hikes among the hoodoos
I’ve used Explore several times and like the balance of their trips. The Uzbekistan trip did not disappoint, itinerary was excellent , tour and local guides were extremely knowledgeable and communicated clearly. Hotels were clean and friendly and crucially good locations which is useful for free time. Uzbekistan is wonderful.
I loved the walking tour of Annecy. Our local tour guide Odile was so animated and interesting to listen to. The trip to the top of Mon Blanc was amazing I also loved visiting the Site Alp Cheese farm. We got a look at a working farm and daily life in Switzerland. Their cheese is outstanding! The Top of Europe! Wish we had more time to stay longer in the charm of Europe. We thorough enjoyed this trip. Our tour guide Mauro and driver Diego were the best! Well done Collette!!
There were too many wonderful experiences to have a favorite. We had an amazing tour director and coach driver. We visited unique and beautiful places. The hotels were nice. It was a great trip.
What a fantastic trip. This is our second walking-type trip with Explore and is was just as well run and thoughtfully designed as the previous one. The trip pace was as I expected based on the description - lots of daily walking, with a little down time for exploring or relaxing in the evening (or morning, if you are a morning person). Most days we started hiking or driving to hiking location at 9 am and finished between 3-5 pm. I really appreciated that the tour leader (Aykut) had a lot of experience and was able to shift around activities to avoid crowds. He was really good at explaining what to expect for the next day (and several days in advance, where relevant) so that we could plan for bringing/not bring our hiking poles, packing extra snacks or water if we weren't going to be near a town, dress for the next day's weather, etc. I do think having the hiking poles was helpful for many of the days, so I am glad I brought them. A few days we stopped for a mid-day break at a location with restaurant options, one day was limited to one option (in a national park: but really, really good food for the sole option), and a few days we packed picnic lunches. If you are thinking about doing this tour, and like walking (moderate level most days, with some hills and some downhill and flat stretches), and love really unique scenery and history, I would highly recommend this trip.
