The one thing I would suggest is replacing the day that included a short boat ride without narration and a tour of Geneva. We found this to be the most uninteresting day of the tour. I would like to have spent another night in Lugano or a night in Stresa and seen more in one of those areas. Driving around looking a UN or government buildings was pretty boring. I also feel that too many of the best parts of the trip came at an additional cost as the best excursions were optional. I believe these (Klein Matterhorn and Jungfraujoch) should be part of the tour. I realize this would increase the cost of the tour. It just seemed that there were too many entire afternoons or says that had no included activities for a fairly pricey upscale tour. We enjoyed the tour very much though and Sue did a marvelous job. I will definitely consider Insight Travel strongly for future travel.

The mainland component of this tour was great, but the ferries out to the islands were pretty challenging with so many people and never ending chaos embarking and disembarking the ferries. However, once on the islands (Santorini and Mykonos) it was indeed a magical experience.

Incredible Inca Experience

A challenging and rewarding trek made unforgettable by an excellent team of guides and porters. Over 4 days of trekking we saw enormous and beautiful Andes mountains, countless flora, many birds, llamas, coati, and several Inca archeological sites, concluding with Machu Picchu. The Inca sites on the trail were much more secluded than Machu Picchu and we had time to explore them at our leisure. The Inca trail itself is an impressive feat - a stone path tracing through the mountains, up & down slopes. Climbing a set of Inca stairs at high altitude in a cloud forest was an unforgettable experience. I recommend having a base level of fitness and using trekking poles to better enjoy the hike.

The trip was great and our tour director Lisa was excellent. Because Greece is mountainous there is a lot of walking up hill and down again so it is not a trip suited for so some people.

The walking tour in Croatia was good. The itinerary was well planned and accommodation was good at all the places . Igo the trip leader was very considerate of Everyone’s needs and he shared his extensive knowledge of local fauna and the plants during every hike. Having a Croatian as the tour leader was a bonus .Igo’s knowledge of the trails we were on and the local Croatian cuisine and culture was very helpful . Some of the hikes in the beginning were on the lighter side which was fine to start with to get conditioned to the weather and local conditions. All in all a very enjoyable and good trip.
