Balkans Walking Trips

This tour was a perfect. It was the perfect itinerary to explore so many different parts of Italy. I got to see history and ancient architecture but then the very next day you are walking in trails and through vineyards with views you can only see on foot .. And then ending with amazing food, and regional wines and chocolate.. It was a perfect blend of culture, history and food.. with views that take your breath away.. every single day. There was enough down time to relax after day walks, use the pool, get some sun etc. whatever you fancy. I never felt over done or bored.. perfect blend.

The tour leader was very knowledgable and we learned a great deal about the Baltic states culture and history. The day we spent exploring the Curonian Spit National Park in Lithuania was especially interesting. Witches hill with the wonderful wood carvings was amazing.

This trip was a good introduction to Greece, the islands and the ferry system. There was a good mix of organized activities and free time for exploration. The guide went out of her way to make sure everyone had options, geared to their interests and abilities. I enjoy walking/hiking, and there was plenty of opportunity to do that along breathtaking scenery. Overall, a great trip!

This trip had everything, loads of history, museums, mountains, forests, thermal springs, farm hospitality, local crafts, pretty towns, coastal resorts all visited at a comfortable pace. A wonderful insight into a lesser known country, brought to us by our excellent guide, Tedi, who was so knowledgeable and interesting to listen to, but also great fun to travel with. The week was fun. The hikes were significant in intensity. The people in my group were great. The host and his wife were wonderful. I hope anybody that goes on this trip gets to see a cloudless sky from up in the mountains like I did. You can't really capture that in a picture.
