Balkans Bicycle Trips

This was our second tour with Erwin as our leader. Erwin has planned an excellent itinerary with the 4 nights in Avignon and 3 nights in Pernes-les-Fontaines. Each ride was different and the destinations were stunning. Even the stops on the way were stunning. Erwin really cares about how everyone is doing. His patience is a wonder to behold. Lots of laughs and lots of great memories.

The trip was a first bicycle tour and it exceeded my expectations greatly . The tour took us to beautiful parts of Puglia and allowed us to live experiences and see cultural sites along the way . The key to this success of this tour was due to the expertise of our guide . Massimo was attentive to each group members needs and every detail of the tour was well planned and executed .

My first Explore holiday and definitely won’t be my last. The leaders Tarkan and Ali were amazing. Tarkan saw to our every need and was confident in his leadership and knowledge. Ali was also wonderful and had an incredibly rich knowledge of Turkish history and wildlife. Together they made a great combination. The cycling was hot, hilly and hardwork, I wd rate it at above moderate personally but a great way to see the real Turkey. Going in Oct rather than Sept cd possibly be a better option with the heat. All in all a wonderful holiday, thank you

Miquel is a lovely guy, knows what he is doing, is fun to be with and is a great leader. He looked after us like a mother hen, showed us some beautiful sites and worked like a Trojan to make sure those under his care had a really good time.. Everyone enjoyed themselves, we gelled well as a group and I am really happy to have made some new friends all of whom would agree that we could not have asked for a better companion / leader than Miquel.

We thoroughly enjoyed our week of cycling with Explore. Our guide Gus was caring and knowledgeable, taking us not only on a great itinerary of mostly off-road paths, but on a culinary tour of local restaurants and extra walking trips to local attractions. The tour exceeded our expectations!

Great trip and itinerary. Beautiful scenery along the way. Cycling was challenging, not for inexperienced cyclists. Participants should be competent in hill climbing, variety of terrain, and have a road sense in traffic. Guide Alejandro and support driver Pedro were competent and very congenial. I thoroughly enjoyed the trip .
