Excellent

I would like the chance to mention all the 6 CEOs on the Kilimanjaro hike: Iddy, Freddy, Clement, Paulo, Walter, Raphael, additionally the chefs, and the 30 others (Ismail, Ali, and the "toilet engineer" team they called themselves etc). The entire team went over and beyond for us, they got us singing when we needed, they had everything ready for us when we got to our locations, they kept us healthy and safe, they really made us feel, comfortable, happy, and extremely safe and all with a smile on their face even though their tasks were much harder than ours. They made our entire trip so unforgettable and I will forever be grateful to them and will miss their presence keeping all the vibes alive all day everyday for us. It was because of them that the trip and the hike was that much more amazing!! They were the most incredible group of people and no words would be able to properly express the joy and easethey added to the trip! Amazing team! Amazing people!!!

Excellent

I cant say enough positive things about G Adventures and the level of care and attention we received on Kilimanjaro. Climbing the highest mountain in Africa was always going to be an amazing experience but it was made exceptional by the team who accompanied us. Every one of them acted with professionalism and enthusiasm throughout the entire 8 days. I have to give special credit to the Assistant CEO Paulo who loaned me his sunglasses for the entire trip after I lost mine on Day 1! Truly he went above and beyond for my comfort and I am so so grateful.

Tough, challenging trek but well worth it. The guides , camp staff and porters were amazing, also very friendly. It's worth trying to learn a little swahili before you go - they seem to really appreciate it. It's cold , dusty and on day two I felt the effects of altitude ( headache and fatigue) . The route allows for acclimatisation so able to summit without problem. Our group was quite mature ( 68 to 57yrs) but we all made it. Worth it for the views and lovely staff

Had a really experienced led guide and an amazing support team of assistant guide, porters, chef and camp manager. Felt very well looked after and well fed!, which were essential for this kind of trip. The safari extension after the Kili hike made the trip even more memorable and the guide for this was really experienced too. All in all, it was a great trip.

Great itinerary, allowing for lots of acclimatisation ahead of summit night. Great group of porters, chef and butler who could not do enough for us. Camp sites were as expected for a mountain trek, good tents, lovely big sleeping bags (not cocoon types were you cant move). Wake to hot brew each morning. Food was good if you like porridge each morning and don't mind pea type casserole each evening, but you need to bring your own snacks, especially for during the treks as non offered other than day 1 and summit night (my luggage did not arrive so I really felt this). Sadly, let down by Team leader, and this is what I remember most about the holiday, and the fact that I was "misled" by the local tour operators boss surrounding the situation with my lost luggage, and the extra costs involved which were all CASH. Team Leader seemed to lack any social skills other than when it came to the last dinner (tip night) back at the hotel, and even then he was an hour late for dinner. During treks he clearly did not like being at the back of the group, often walking ahead of the last person leaving them at the back to walk alone. He would stop and sit when he got too far ahead but as soon as the trekker caught up he would be up and off again not even offering a break to the trekker. This can be so demotivating for a trekker especially for a solo trekker and in a small group. As a Team Leader I expected more.
