Chile Wine tasting Tour Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our Wine tasting Chile tours
The tour company left a message at our hotel telling us what time they would pick us up the next day. They were exactly on time which was great. Our tour guide (Frank) was absolutely wonderful. So informative and he spoke english and spanish so well. I liked the fact there were only about 7 or 8 in our group too. It meant you had no trouble hearing what was being said. The walking tour of Valparaiso was a great way to see the place and if there was anything anyone in the group particularly wanted to look at it wasn't a problem. Lunch was at your own cost but it was a great restaurant that was chosen with wonderful views of Valparaiso. Visiting Vina Del Mar was good also and finishing the tour with a wine tasting in the Casablanca Valley was the perfect end to the day.
We had a great time with Juan. We were told they were unable to secure an English speaking guide, but we decided to go with it anyway. It turns out Juan was a great English speaker and we were able to practice our Spanish while he practiced his English. He was a great guide, and taught us a lot about the country and wine culture. We had a good time at the beautiful wineries. We would definitely recommend this tour.
This is an excellent company. Jaimie ended up customizing a fit for purpose tour for me. This was important as I am on the wheelchair. This really helped make our stay in Chile enjoyable after some initial confusion. I highly recommend Jaimie. He customized tours according to your needs. Especially those on the wheelchair Jaimie will go out of his way to make sure you have what you need and personally directs the tour.
Great trip organised by the team! From the first moment, the team has been very responsive to our emails and the way the tour was setup exceeded our expectations. The help from the experience manager was very crucial in many circumstances (best example was that she organised to have a purse delivered from Argentina to Chile!!).
Emanuel has an amazing sense of humor, you won't be bored with him. He can tell stories and jokes, his laughter is contagious. From the moment he picked me up I knew it was going to be a good tour because he was punctual and friendly. It felt like a private tour because it was only a Brazilian couple and myself. We visited three wineries and Emanuel explained which tastings to purchase, his suggestions were right on target. At lunch time he asked what our preferences were and based on our answers he picked a restaurant with an amazing view of the vineyards. The food was delicious and fresh. I had the rabbit with herbs. The tour included three wineries, each different from the other. The first one was big and and modern looking, the sommelier was knowledgeable albeit the tasting felt a bit rushed. The second winery was smaller, a more quaint and charming place with an interesting wine cellar. Chilean wines are excellent. After three wineries and lunch, traveling back to Santiago can become a long tiresome trip. But it wasn't for us. Having Emanuel as our tour guide made our return fun as we all shared stories and laughs. I cannot finish this review by congratulating Emanuel for his open mind attitude. He congratulated me on my recent gay wedding. His words were genuine.
This was an excellent day tour from a local's perspective. Our guide, Emanuel, was on time and on point throughout the entire journey, very charasmatic and amiable. The wine tour itself was splendid, a gradual and enjoyable taster into a nearby region: Casablanca Valley. Each winery had incredible wines with notes of history and local culture sprinkles throughout. The first two wineries were more authentic and local, and much more personable, with incredible wines. The last two were a bit too commercial for our liking but as this was the beginning of spring the crowds were few and we could savor and linger at every moment. Overall, a wonderful day trip to an intriguing and tasty part of Chile. Would highly recommend and do again.
