The itinerary is excellent. Tough walks due to the steep and rocky terrain but well rewarded by the scenery and sense of achievement. The accommodation was some of the best I have had with Explore - great location, clean and comfortable, staff all friendly and helpful. Delicious food. Gluten free diet catered for very well. Above all,, our tour leader, Duane, really made this trip. Professional, knowledgeable, encouraging, approachable and fun … he worked so hard to make sure everyone enjoyed the week. Thanks Duane!

Accomodation on the ship and the two hotels one in Ushuaia and one in Buenos Aires were excellent. The Antarctica experience was magical from the landscape to the wildlife. The whole experience will live with us forever

Excellent

Honestly, this trip to Chile was something else. I didn’t know what to expect going in, but wow — it blew me away. From city life to total wilderness to the most surreal desert I’ve ever seen… it had everything. Santiago totally surprised me. It’s got this cool energy. one minute you're walking past old colonial buildings next you’re sipping wine on a rooftop with views of the Andes. And the food? Next level. I was legit full the entire time. Then came Patagonia and I mean, come on. You see photos online, but being there? Completely different. Puerto Natales was the cutest little town, super chill with killer views, and it just felt so peaceful. And then you're surrounded by mountains that make you feel really, really small (in a good way). And just when I thought the trip had peaked, boom we’re in the Atacama Desert. I’ve never seen landscapes like that before. Moon Valley looked like Mars, no joke. The salt flats were insanely quiet and still, like the world paused for a second. And those mirror-like lagoons? Unreal. I took way too many pictures. The whole thing was smooth — flights, guides, hotels — didn’t have to think about a thing. If you want a trip that’s equal parts adventure, nature, and just pure “whoa,” this one’s it. I came back with full camera storage and even fuller memories.

All the highlights, beautiful - enjoyed every place we experienced. The dinners prepared by local families in their homes were incredible. Tango experience unforgettable. Saw lots of wildlife. Top notch guide (makes all the difference) local guides exceptional as well. Travelled many places but the entire trip we were surrounded by incredible beauty everywhere we went. Food was excellent as was our lodging. Lucky to see Patagonia and all her glory.

Awe inspiring landscapes, good activities. It covers a very large area and so unavoidably involves a lot of flights and early mornings. Where else do you get breathtaking mountains, glaciers, fjords and penguins! Hotels with one exception were excellent. Fabulous travel director and informative guides.

I felt it had adequate activities and free time. I was surprised the 80 years old kept up. I felt some of the hikes were a little rushed. Since, the guides were the experts there must of been a reason to keep us on pace.

Chile Group Tours

There is a group tour around Chile to suit everyone, but here are some of our favorites.

  • Group tour in Patagonia to explore the turquoise lakes: While Patagonia is a bucket-list destination for many travelers, the region is pretty remote. So it is a good idea to join a group tour to explore Patagonia’s natural wonders. Take in the majesty and beauty of Grey Lake, Grey Glacier, Lake Sarmiento, Azul Lagoon, and the Moreno Glacier as you travel around Torres del Paine National Park and El Calafate in a group.
  • Discover Chile on a group tour: Whether you want to welcome a new day at the Valley of the Moon in the Atacama Desert, enjoy the coastal vibes of Valparaiso, or wander around vibrant Santiago, you can do it all on a group tour around Chile. Travel from place to place with your new crew and uncover all Chile's amazing hotspots and destinations.
  • Group tour in the Atacama Desert: From exploring the salt flats and marveling at the stars in world-renowned observatories to walking through canyons and swimming in hot springs, there is never a dull moment in Atacama Desert group tours. To explore this desert plateau is to test your physical and mental endurance and connect with others who share your passion for adventure and travel.

Group tours to Chile based on budget

  • Luxury group tours in Chile: As you travel through Chile, stay in luxurious four- or five-star hotels and eco-resorts. Discover hidden gems on exclusive excursions, such as private guided wildlife tours at the stunning Torres del Paine National Park, or experience skip-the-line access to Santiago's best museums and sites. All-inclusive packages come with unlimited excursions at each stop, ensuring that every moment of your journey is exceptional.
  • Budget group tours in Chile: Consider arranging a budget group tour if you want to visit Chile without breaking the bank. Stretch your travel budget by sharing transportation costs and taking advantage of group pricing. Chile is known for its high cost of living, but with a little organization and imagination, you can still have a wonderful trip. Try living at homestays and hostels to save money and foster a sense of community within your group.

Travel experience and benefits of a Chile group tours

  • Unpredictable weather patterns necessitate a safety net while hiking in Chile, making a group tour the best option.
  • Public transport in Chile is not always reliable. On a group tour, you usually travel around on a private minibus, so you know that you will get to your destination on time.
  • Hiking the famous W-Trek in Chilean Patagonia and hiking trips in Torres Del Paine require permits. Group tours often include these permits in their packages.
  • Enjoy a full-bodied Malbec or a dry Sauvignon Blanc in the vineyards of Chile. The best bit? No need to worry about a designated driver on an organized Chile group tour.
