Reviews of our Chile Tours for January
Feedback from guests who toured Chile during January.
Wonderful tour from Chile to the Andes to IguazAº and beyond. Lots of amazing natural beauty and interesting history. This was my third G Adventures trip and I have several more planned!
Very good bunch of people and tour guides along the way Especially Matais and Chris on the Torres axel Paine trek. I really enjoyed Juan’s company as our main tour guide with a great attitude and very knowledgeable. I would recommend Juan again he was simply fantastic.
My family booked a customized 8-night trip to Torres del Paine, Perito Moreno and Iguazu and we were happy with how the trip went. Throughout the planning process Lucia and Julieta answered all of our questions and gave us different options that suited our needs. We enjoyed the hotels which were all in excellent central locations (which was what we requested). The professional local operators were both punctual and knowledgeable. Perhaps the highest compliment is that nothing went wrong during our trip and I doubt that is just by luck :-) If you are looking for experts to help you plan and organize your vacation, this is a great agency!
This is my second trip with Exodus and I could not be more pleased. Already planning my third. The Iguazu Falls extension was over the top fun! The tour leaders that Exodus works with were all exceptional. Pamela with Aqua Grandes in Iguazu. In Patagonia on my lesser hikes, both Mathieus and Jorge were knowledgeable about wildlife - and we saw a lot! Condor (from afar), puma (up close), emus, rheas, guanacos, and plants and flowers and orchids, etc. SUPPORTIVE both literally and figuratively moving at my speed and letting me figure out the terrain.
This trip was a great way to see the top highlights while leaving you wanting to explore more! Perfect 'Discovery' trip! There are a lot of flights and the airline can move around the timings so you have to be flexible and open to late nights/early starts. There really is no other way to cover so much distance in just 2 weeks. Its well worth the travel as you get to see 2 completely different sides of Chile, the Desert and Salt flats of the North and the Lakes and Mountains of the South, both equally beautiful but very different. The food wasn't as expensive as I thought, similar pricing to London restaurants so by no means cheap but not unaffordable and if you take some snacks with you its easy to skip lunches as dinner portions in every restaurant we went to are very generous. The hotels were clean, spacious and comfortable. The only pool in use (we were early in the season) was in San Pedro. Both optional excursions are well worth doing but I would recommend doing a little research into star constellations before going to help things make more sense as its a lot of information to take in. Our guide Miguel was very knowledgeable and clearly loves his country and the outdoors we were in good hands especially in the National parks as he knows the area well. He is also a keen photographer so we were going to great photo locations and he was always willing to stop the bus whenever wildlife or a good photo angle was spotted! There are long drives, but the scenery was so beautiful that the drives were just as special as the walks and plenty of stops to stretch our legs or take a photo or toilet stop.
A fun adventure and an incredible taster of Patagonia! It covered so many bucket list items in just two weeks. Our CEO Val was a ray of sunshine that brought such a great energy to our group, she was informative and professional and organised. The hikes were so beautiful, and the views were worth the push. Our hiking guides were fantastic, encouraging and friendly. The private transport made life so easy, we were comfortable and in great hands with our drivers. The optional activities were so fun, just make sure to book in early to avoid things booking out. All in all a wonderful experience and one I?ll recommend to family and friends.
