Cambodia Art architecture Tour Reviews
Honest insights from past guests on our Art architecture Cambodia tours
The itinerary was very well paced with good start times each morning that never felt too rushed. The accommodations were spacious, clean, and comfortable throughout the trip, which made the experience even more enjoyable. Having all the details organized made for a very relaxing and stress-free tour.
The tour was excellent, with Tola being a great tour leader (and photographer), with Joseph an excellent local guide in Phnom Penh. All transfers were very comfortable and the iced towels a godsend! Meeting hotel a perfect spot near the palace and with the pool, and in Siem Riep an easy walk to the centre of town. I especially wanted to call out the fact that the tour ended up running only for me. I really appreciated the heads up in advance that this was likely to be the case, as I know it wouldn't have suited some people, but I'm doubly grateful you allowed the tour to go ahead for me regardless given the fact that my travel was all booked as part of a more extended trip based on the original dates. Tola was very flexible and some changes had to be made because of the security situation anyway, but being solo allowed for a particularly unique experience. I know the guides / drivers etc have their income supplemented by tips, so I do hope some consideration was given to them for accommodating such a small 'group' other than my own. Obviously all of the sites seen were as advertised and expected, and visiting Cambodia was a wonderful experience. Thank you!
I loved the trip. Got lucky with the excellent friends that I made along the way. The trip itself is super with super unique activities. Staying in River Rafts along the river Kwai, Zip Lining, Cooking, Quad Biking, Bike Tours, Slow Boats was fantastic. Food and Accommodation was excellent with some being extra fancy. Trip manager Sam was 11/10 !!
We had an excellent trip and really enjoyed all aspects of the trip. Both our leaders Joseph and Sitha were excellent. One suggestion would be not to have three consecutive days of temple sightseeing in Cambodia as this in our opinion and others on the trip, was too much, especially in the extreme heat. Maybe a trip to the Landmine museum which we passed on the temple visits. Cambodia has a great deal more to offer. We will be using you again next year, thank you.
Excellent tour leader, very knowledgeable and positive. Overall a fabulous trip. Very busy itinerary. Perhaps a little too packed and would benefit from paring back and allowing some down time. Excursions from cruise could be avoided as unnecessary and not particularly good. Better quality transport would be preferable. Hotel in phnom Penn a little basic and cramped.
This is an excellent tour, led by the wonderful Mr Sitha. If you want to see the temples then this is the tour for you - not just the big 2 but 16 other equally wonderful temples as well. Make sure to also do the optional tour to Oodong, the white stupa is stunning. The tour is very full-on and the heat can be a bit much for some but please do not let that deter you. The accommodation, the food, the drivers, the guides, the sights, the museums, are all amazing as are the beautiful Cambodian people. They are a triumph. If there was any "wish" to add it would be for Explore to please include an extra day in Phnom Penh and also another day in Siem Reap as there are plenty of things to see and do, or even to combine temples and "cooler' activities for the afternoons. The museums, the Hero Rats Project, The Angkor Artisans are all well worth visiting. In short - this tour is brilliant! Please go - and do all the temples rather than just a short add-on trip to Cambodia. It is so worthy of the extra time you afford it.
