Itinerary was too full; it would have been nice to have some free time to explore ourselves. Travel time between some stops was too long and then when we got to the stops, often given 30-40 minutes but there was nothing much to do. Some morning tea stops were too long as well. Then, by the time you got to the accommodation to stay overnight, it was late, no time to explore the town ourselves.
The ferry would have been better if it was in the morning - we didn't get to Waterford that night until late - around 8 pm and were sent straight into dinner, no time to get to rooms etc.
Some of the breakfasts were not always served hot in Bain Marie, often lukewarm at best, and therefore we were unable to eat them as food safety is very important to us.
Some of the accommodation was not as expected. In particular, Walton Hall - the room was very musty, smelled moldy and damp, it was in the middle of nowhere, insufficient staffing, especially in the bar with several groups there and only one staff member to serve. Breakfast was also strange, very pale eggs and lukewarm.
This tour was advertised as 'Easy' it was certainly not - there was quite a bit more walking than I anticipated.
Tour Director was very informative, certainly had a wealth of knowledge about every part of the itinerary but had a tendency to not explain clearly whether some of the walks involved staying for the duration or whether it was acceptable to return to the pick-up point independently. His '5 minute walks' may need some adjustment as they were definitely longer.

This tour was marketed as 'Leisurely - typically feature up to 1.6-3.2km of walking per day on primarily flat surfaces and with some stairs'. I would strongly dispute this, I found it very difficult to access a lot of the tour as I need to use a walker for distance walking. Many sites had no lift access for mobility impaired people and the walking was definitely not primarily flat. Most places were hilly, or lengthy distances to get there. Many places also had cobblestones which are very difficult to walk on.
A lot of the tour was inaccessible to me, I spend quite a bit of time sitting and waiting for the group. The tour to Shakespear's house was completely wasted on me, I could only access the lower 2 rooms, the stairs were unsafe for me to use. Had I known this, I'd have waited outside the tour, had a coffee in the Square but my husband had gone up the stairs and I was told to wait in a corner for them to emerge, quite a while later due to congestion of other groups having their talk first.
The accommodation was satisfactory with 2 being outstanding - Hotel Killarney and Hampton by Hilton in Dublin. However, the Walton Hall Hotel and Spa by Sunday was very unsatisfactory. The rooms felt very damp and smelled musty and moldy. The food was average, breakfast the eggs were so pale, I did wonder if they used dried eggs? The bar service was terrible - only one waiter - especially when there were several groups in residence.
The ferry crossing would have been much better in the morning, we did not arrive to Waterford until very late, approximately 8 pm with no time to go to our rooms, we were sent straight to dinner.
Several of the breakfasts were average, served lukewarm instead of hot and I did not eat them as I am very concerned with food safety and appropriate temperatures for service.
Tour Director was very knowledgeable. he did have a tendency to walk ahead and I felt that I missed out on a lot of information because I couldn't keep up at times. He was good at advising me when a site or situation would not be suitable for me and I would wait nearby.

Fantastic tour, but my endurance ran out with about 3 days to go. Still, I can't recommend any changes to shorten or enhance the trip. Edinburgh was the highlight for me.
