Thai Island Hopping

We had the most incredible time! Well organised from start to finish. We stayed in some of the most remote places on some of the islands and they were beautiful! Thank you explore! I can’t recommend you enough.

Excellent trip, good itinerary with great leader, nice folk. Brilliant snorkelling apart from jelly-fish! Thailand busy at this time of year (Feb), but the coastline is still very attractive.

Our group leader Thanapol Yosmul a.k.a Champion was amazing!! I cannot thank him enough for the fabulous trip and service. He provided us. He was professional in every way and made the tour fun. His hard work and enthusiasm made the island hopping explore tour exceptional! It was a pleasure to get to know Champion and I hope I get to go on another tour with him again someday. I will definitely recommend Explore! and Thanapol Yosmul in particular to my friends and family. Our itinerary provided us with some priceless experiences with the exception of seven islands and bio luminescent tour which was very poorly done by the vendor. He kept us waiting for close to an hour and a half and then rushed us through the island tour. The dinner he provided was subpar (chicken was raw,) but most importantly the tour was unsafe. The boat was crowded and beyond recommended capacity I am sure and he did not give us any safety instructions or tell us where the lifejackets were. I could go on in greater detail as we have a lot of complaints about that particular trip. Contact me should you want more. We also had wonderful, once in a lifetime fabulous trips like that kayaking through the mangrove, and following the Giants and snorkeling in the national park. Champion totally made this trip! He was simple amazing. We had a few changes and he worked so hard to make it work for everyone, which I think had to be hard with so many personalities. All the explorer trips were great. But would look at a couple of the add ons- the cooking class with Mr Chickn- though it did work out in the end, I think it was new to them as not quite organized and a little hard with the translation- but with time I think it would be great. The 7 isle tour on the speed boat was absolutely terrible- very crowded, unsafe, and food was terrible- like raw chicken terrible. Champion was with us and tried a hard to help us all though and so appreciate his effort. The photo plankin swim was amazing too - but kinda the only thing that was Again champion totally made up for all the downs - and nothing is perfect- just suggestions. Thank you champion!!! 🙏

The trip was good as a whole however the options on the Explore itinerary were often not available as advertised. The trip notes were not accurate regarding which islands we were staying and the hotels were switched at last minute. There seemed to be discrepancies between Explore and the local host company used, which provided the guide. The optional trips which were offered were expensive.

Many of the extra trips in the pre-departure notes didn’t exist when we got there. For example, walking in the national forest on Ko Hai, or (really disappointingly) the boat trip around Phang Nga bay. Those that did exist were very expensive, for example £90 for a days cycling ( which was great but really only a few hour’s actual cycling ).

At times it appeared Leader did not have full support of Explore as the itinerary was changed, unbeknown to the clients, although he coped with it very well.

This holiday exceeded all my expectations and I really enjoyed it. It was well organised, and the advanced communications leading up to the holiday were excellent. I found their app particularly useful. The basic trips included were excellent and if you add in the additional trips that were available and organised by the tour guide, it gave the whole holiday a wow factor. Sharing life stories and other holiday experiences with the other group members was good and we all had a lot of fun and laughs along the way. All this was facilitated by an amazing tour guide who worked tirelessly in the background to make sure things ran smoothly. His knowledge was good and we learnt so much about the places we visited, the Thai culture, traditions and people.

Fantastic tour, so relaxing, and really beatiful beaches. Would absolutely recommend!

It wasn't the best one of your tours but I am sure I will travel with you again in the near future.
