Say cheerio to Inverness and embark on a full day adventure through the rugged Highlands to the stunning Isle of Skye. Gear up for an epic trip across the northwest of Scotland where it’s as much about the journey to get there as it is about the destination. Try your luck in spotting legendary Nessie as you drive along world-famous Loch Ness, and step back in time at iconic Eilean Donan Castle, before arriving on the Isle of Skye, where myths, legends and magic await!
We start bright and early and venture to home of Nessie and Scotland’s most famous loch: Loch Ness. Through winding Highland roads towards the west coast, mountains give way to immense sea lochs, once used by Vikings to plunder our lands. Next up is Eilean Donan Castle, where you can learn about Scotland’s bloody history on an optional tour.
As we head to the star of the show, the Isle of Skye, you’ll hear stories of local legends and folklore, as well as the true tales of rival clans and a fugitive prince. After checking out Portree’s colourful harbour on your lunch break, we head to the Old Man of Storr, a sight you will not forget anytime soon! Our next stop is the jaw-dropping Kilt Rock and its cascading waterfall, before we take in the last of Skye’s otherworldly landscape at the Quiraing. We return to the mainland with a scenic drive, taking us back to pretty Inverness in the evening.
