Itinerary

Kick off your Isle of Skye adventure with a scenic drive from Inverness, where every mile through the Highlands is steeped in legend and natural grandeur. This full-day trip is a feast for the senses: search for the elusive Loch Ness monster, step inside the storied walls of Eilean Donan Castle, and traverse Skye’s dramatic landscapes, where myths and magic linger in the air. Designed for all ages, this tour is a captivating blend of history, folklore, and rugged scenery, making it the perfect introduction to Scotland’s northwest wonders.

day 1Skye, Myths And Legends

Our Isle of Skye day tour from Inverness starts bright and early as we venture to home of Nessie and Scotland’s most famous loch: Loch Ness. Through winding Highland roads towards the west coast, mountains give way to immense sea lochs, once used by Vikings to plunder our lands. Next up is Eilean Donan Castle, where you can learn about Scotland’s bloody history on an optional tour.
As we head to the star of the show, the Isle of Skye, your guide will share fascinating local legends, clan rivalries, and the story of a fugitive prince. After checking out Portree’s colourful harbour on your lunch break, we head to the Old Man of Storr, a sight you will not forget anytime soon! Our next stop is the jaw-dropping Kilt Rock and its cascading waterfall, before we take in surreal views at the Quiraing mountain range. We return to the mainland with a scenic drive, taking us back to pretty Inverness in the evening.
