Reviews of our Scotland Tours for October
Feedback from guests who toured Scotland during October.
It was a nice mix of walking and resting on the bus between adventures. The tour director, Matty D was amazing from start to finish. The coach drivers, Les and Terry were extremely skilled moving that coach through those narrow streets and the long hours each day. The organization of the tour was amazing, ensuring everyone had the information needed as to where to meet, time of departure and what was next on the agenda. The optional execursions in the brochure were confusing, as I originally thought if there were two listed in the afternoon, we had to choose one or the other. Learning on the trip that you could actually do both. The welcome dinner at a great scottish pub was the perfect way to meet other tour guests and kick off the tour. Touring it all was just breath taking. The farewell dinner on the grounds of the castle after a tour of the castle with the Lord and Lady was absolutely the perfect. Having the Lord and Lady join us at the tables for dinner and be so engaging was the perfect way to end a great trip.
Blue-Roads exceeded my expectations. Had a really wonderful time, will travel with them again. Our tour guide Jessica made this trip spectacular. Jessica is well suited to guiding and went above and beyond to make it enjoyable and rewarding for all. Jessica was so friendly, fun, professional and kind, she researched and answered all the oddball questions, was extremely well versed with the places we visited and loved. There were individual requests to stop at places and Jessica made that happen without losing any momentum. Loved the relaxed pace, thanks for a great experience Jessica and Blue-Roads.
Wasn’t sure I would enjoy a bus tour but I’m sold now. Great crew, guide and driver, small bus able to venture down small back roads to places most people will never get to. Also avoids having to drive in busy cities and rather just enjoy the views.
Excellent tour of Britain from London, ending in Edinburgh. Enjoyed walking through castles, Cathedrals, streets of Cities and towns, touring the back roads around the countryside. So many opportunities for photos along the drives and in the towns. Hotels were amazing and the meals were fantastic. Our tour guide was so knowledgeable on the geography and history of Britain which was great. The driver was great and was so competent driving and gave us bits of history as well.
The Itinerary was great except for the hotel in the Highlands. This hotel was old and run down. Some guests did not have water for their morning shower and the water was not drinkable. The itinerary did not have enough time in Skye which was boasted by many people we just didn’t get time in this area of Scotland. The lunch stop we made in a hotel there was horrible. The food throughout the trip was just ok. The optional experiences were excellent. The be my guest dinner was very special and memorable Tour guide was excellent and the bus driver was as well. I thought the stop in Colauden needed a specialist to detail the battle field . The only real complaint my party had was that there was a sick traveler on the bus who coughed the whole trip. 5 people in my party came home sick as I’m sure other passengers did as well. Something should have been said to this obviously very sick person
The trip was great! Landscaping was beautiful and especially the rainbows that you saw. The hotels and employees were very nice! Joel, our tour guide was awesome and so was our chauffeur, Tom . Joel was so informative about Ireland and Scotland. I just wish I could remember everything he talked about.! The history is interesting I think they went beyond and above for us on the trip. The weather was tricky ! But overall, it was a a nice trip! The downside was I wish I got to spend more time at all the towns that we stopped at. The quaint little towns were interesting. I understand that we were on a timeline. The other thing is, people should be considerate when they are sick and wear a mask on the bus.. By the end of the trip I was sick Thank you
