Uncover the serene beauty of Hangzhou and the charm of Wuzhen water town on this private two-day sightseeing tour. Start by cruising the misty West Lake, exploring Flower Harbor Park, and visiting the tranquil Yongfu Temple. A stop at Meijiawu Tea Village offers a taste of traditional tea culture.

The following day, immerse yourself in Wuzhen’s ancient alleyways, where highlights include the Sanbai Wine Workshop—a living relic from the Song Dynasty—and optional scenic river cruises. All entrance tickets, hotel pickup and drop-off, and lunch are included, with the added flexibility to select your preferred hotel standard if departing from Shanghai.

day 1 - Hangzhou

In the morning your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Shanghai and drive you directly to the train station for the 8:05 am train. It takes 1 hour by bullet train from Shanghai to Hangzhou.

First, visit the West Lake by boat. It’s the most efficient way to see the whole lake. West Lake has influenced poets and painters throughout Chinese history for its natural beauty and historic relics, and it has also been among the most important sources of inspiration for Chinese garden designers.

After a local lunch, you will visit the Yongfu Temple which is over 1600 years old. It’s a very quiet place hidden in the mountain. On the way to the temple you will visit the Feilai Feng grottoes. A large number of rock reliefs dot the surface of the peak.

Next stop is Longjing Tea village and you will taste some authentic dragon well green tea. It is produced mostly by hand and renowned for its high quality, earning it the China Famous Tea title.

After that your guide will send you to your hotel in Hangzhou.

day 2 - Hangzhou - Wuzhen Water-town

Take a private car to Wuzhen at 9am. It takes around 1.5 hours from Hangzhou to Wuzhen.

Today we will take you to visit two parts of Wuzhen, and you can pick the places you are more interested in. Some of our suggestions are:

The East Scenic Zone located to the east of Shi River, where you can enjoy all kinds of traditional folk customs. Here there is also the Ancient Bed Museum, Folk Customs Museum, Wine Distillery Workshop, Indigo Fabric Workshop, Shadow Play Theater and so on.

The West Scenic Zone, where there is Wuzhen Grand Theater, Water Market and Chinese Foot-binding Culture Museum.

Around 3:30 p.m. we will leave Wuzhen to go to the train station. Your train is at 5 pm and it takes 40 mins by bullet train to reach Shanghai Hongqiao Train Station. Or, alternatively, take a private car back to Hangzhou if you are staying in Hangzhou.
