day 1 - Beijing arrival & airport pickup
Upon arrival at the airport in Beijing, you will meet your guide outside the customs area. Transfer to your hotel and check in. You are free for the remainder of the day.
day 2 - Beijing city highlights
Take a trip to the world-famous Tian'anmen Square. Your next destination for this morning is the Forbidden City. Sit down for lunch at a fine-dining establishment that serves authentic Chinese food. Explore the Temple of Heaven in the afternoon.
day 3 - China Great Wall tour
After breakfast, you will visit the gigantic Great Wall ( Mutianyu section). Round-trip cable car tickets will be made available. Lunch is not included today. Feel free to ask your guide for some suggestions about good restaurants nearby.
Drive by the famous Bird's Nest while returning. See the stadium from a distance. Then spend some time exploring a local market before its time to go back to your hotel.
day 4 - Beijing tour and fly to Zhangjiajie
Visit the Summer Palace and discover the hutongs of Beijing. After lunch, its time to fly to Zhangjiajie. Your local guide will meet you at the airport and transfer to your the hotel.
day 5 - Zhangjiajie tour
Our guide will pick you up from your hotel and escort you to the Zhangjiajie Grand Canyon. Walk over the longest glass bridge in the world that stretches 430 metres wide. Later, we will continue to Baofeng Lake, where you will enjoy a boat ride while listening to local girls singing folk songs.
day 6 - Explore Zhangjiajie
Spend a whole day in Zhangjiajie National Forest Park. Then take the Bailong elevator to the Yuanjiajie Scenic Area. It is worth mentioning that the Hallelujah Mountain in the movie "Avatar" was shot at the Southern Sky Column there.
Time to take an electric car to Tianzi Mountain Nature Reserve, a paradise for shutterbugs with peaks that look like swords and halberds pointed at the sky. After taking pictures there, our guide will accompany you for a leisure walk along Golden Whip Stream.
The stream runs through a verdant valley and we may encounter monkeys on the way. The next activity is taking a sightseeing train along the Ten Mile Gallery to admire hills of different shapes.
day 7 - Zhangjiajie – Xian by airplane
Your Zhangjiajie tour will conclude with a visit to Tianmen Mountain, famous for a giant hole in the rocky cliff. After that, we will drive you to the airport to catch an evening flight to Xian. Upon arrival, our Xian guide will pick you up and transfer you to the hotel for check in.
day 8 - Terracotta Army Museum
Visit the world-famous Terracotta Warriors and Horses Museum and see the breathtaking array of life-sized terracotta figures arranged in battle formations. How about trying to find out if each of them look different? Continue your visit to the Shaanxi Provincial History Museum after that.
This is followed by a visit to the Big Wild Goose Pagoda. Initially built during the Tang Dynasty to house sutras from India, the seven-story pagoda has witnessed the changes that have taken place in Xian in the past 1,300 years.
day 9 - Xian tour & high-speed train to Chengdu
Visit the ancient Xi'an City Wall after breakfast followed by a trip to a local family for lunch. Taste authentic home-cooked Chinese dishes and head for the Great Mosque of Xian. Spend some time strolling around the nearby bazaar area.
Take a high speed train to Chengdu after that. This journey takes around four hours. Your driver will transfer you to the hotel on arrival.
day 10 - Leshan Giant Buddha statue
We will drive you to Leshan, where you will take a boat to visit the Leshan Giant Buddha, a 71-metre-tall stone statue of Maitreya Buddha carved out of a cliff. Drive back to Chengdu after that.
day 11 - Giant panda tour & fly to Guilin
Visit the Chengdu Research Base of Giant Panda Breeding and see pandas in their natural environment. Your next destination is the Broad and Narrow Alleys. Head for the Jinsha Site Museum after that. Then take a flight to Guilin where your local guide will meet you on arrival and drive you to your hotel.
day 12 - Longsheng Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces
Drive out of the city to Longsheng, home to the spectacular Dragon's Backbone Rice Terraces. Hike up a hill to the best viewpoint. There are lots of steps that you need to climb but the view from above is worth it.
The area is dotted with small villages where houses are usually built of wood. Visit a village of the Zhuang people and learn more about their way of life. We will transfer you back to your hotel at the end of your trip.
day 13 - Li River cruise from Guilin to Yangshuo
Cruise down the Li River to Yangshuo. Upon arrival in Yangshuo, a short trip to the countryside will be arranged. Visit a local's home to experience traditional lifestyle. Check into your hotel in Yangshuo.
day 14 - Free day in Yangshuo
Yo are free to explore Yangshuo on your own today.
day 15 - Yangshuo – Guilin – Hangzhou (flight)
We will pick you up and transfer to Guilin airport. Catch the flight to Hangzhou where your tour guide will be waiting for you at the airport.
day 16 - Hangzhou tour
Visit Meijiawu tea village and see farmers working in their tea plantations. You can even join them to pick tea leaves and watch the tea-making process. Continue to the Lingyin Temple, West Lake and Red Carp Pond.
day 17 - Hangzhou – Suzhou (high-speed train)
Take a morning high speed train to Suzhou. The journey takes around one and a half hours. Transfer to your hotel on arrival. See Humble Administrator's Garden, the Garden of the Master of the Nets and Tiger Hill.
day 18 - Zhouzhuang Water Town tour & drive to Shanghai
Drive to Zhouzhuang, home to China's most famous water town. Take a trip to the Hall of Shen's Residence. Drive back to Shanghai and transfer to your hotel.
day 19 - Shanghai highlights
Visit the Shanghai Museum (your ticket includes the audio guide) and the Yuyuan Garden. At noon, an a la carte farewell lunch will be arranged at a local restaurant that offers authentic Shanghai and Cantonese cuisine.
Transfer to the Bund area after lunch and enjoy cruising in the Huangpu River. You have some free time to explore the Bund area on your own after that. Then head for Tianzifang, an ancient street that has been redeveloped and now hosts art centres, restaurants and bars.
day 20 - Free day in Shanghai
You are free to explore Shanghai on your own today.
day 21 - Shanghai departure
We will transfer you to the airport after breakfast for your flight home
