Itinerary
Journey across the sparkling expanse of Argentina’s Argentino Lake on a "Full-Day Glacier Cruise from El Calafate with a Scenic Stop." This tour invites you to experience the awe-inspiring vistas of the glacier region from the comfort of a catamaran, offering ample opportunities to capture stunning photos from both the cozy interior or out on the open deck.
A highlight of the trip is the stop at Spegazzini Base, where you’ll enjoy lunch and set off on a gentle walk through the forest. Multiple trails lead to scenic viewpoints, each offering breathtaking perspectives on the glaciers and National Park. This cruise tour is perfect for travelers looking to blend comfort and adventure, with the unique benefit of combining navigation, sightseeing, and a tranquil nature walk in one seamless package.
Overview
After picking you up at your hotel at approximately 7 am, we will travel to the Port of Punta Bandera, located 47 km from El Calafate.
Once on board the incredible boat, we will begin our navigation along the North Arm of Lake Argentino. We cross the Boca del Diablo to the Upsala Channel and sail among the large icebergs that break off the front of the Upsala Glacier.
Then we will sail through the Spegazzini Channel and moments later we will have the first view of the Seco Glacier. We will continue sailing to the front of the Spegazzini Glacier where we will also contemplate the Heim Sur and Peineta glaciers.
We get ready to disembark at the Spegazzini Base and, walking along a forest trail, we arrive at the Spegazzini Refuge, which has all the services you need during your stay and will allow you to experience truly unique moments with its dazzling panoramic views.
Once back on the boat, we will make the second part of the navigation until we return to Punta Bandera around 4 pm.
Return to El Calafate at approximately 5 pm.
