Great food. Great scenery - pay the extra for the domed train car---RimRock Hotel was in stages of repair---bath tub had chipped enamel. Other than that---everything was fine
I would highly recommend paying the extra money to sit in the domed train car. The extra money was worth it for the scenery and the food. All in all, everything was wonderful!!!
Lake Louise, the Rocky Mountaineer and the glacier were the best. Our tour guide Ileana Nielsen was the best guide we have had out of many guided tours. She was as warm, approachable, as she was exceptionally organized and knowledgable. She worked hard to ensure each guest got the best experience possible from their tour no matter their physical condition or limitations. Felt like we were leaving an old friend when it was time to say goodbye.
Walking on the glacier ice field was amazing! The train ride was interesting and very beautiful. The lake and Mountain View’s are spectacular!
Lake Louise, Banff
Loved the tour. Think the communication with itinerary and packet needed better verbiage. Not happy with seats for flight. I loved everything about the Rocky Mountineer. The service and staff as well as the food was exceptional. Nothing was more beautiful than being able to see the Canadian Rockies from the glass enclosed train car. Wow! As an amateur photographer, I will always remember how and all I was taking pictures at Lake Louise. It would be nice if we could’ve stayed two days at the Fairmont.
Great tour. Somewhat disappointed with the start of the tour in Vancouver. The tour starts today banner was misleading for day 1. Our choice was a free day or pay another $530 for the optional tour. Lake Louise, Banff, Columbia Icefield, Lake Peyto were great. The train gold level experience was fantastic. And, Danielle Marchese our tour guide was super.
Enjoying the beautiful mountains
Rocky Mountaineer staff, accommodations, and food was excellent. I was somewhat disappointed that we did not see the Rockies until the end of day 2.
Once in a life time trip.
Fabulous trip - beautiful country - excellent excursions and accommodations - good food - train was wonderful - Kelly, our tour manager, was the BEST ever - as was Bill, our bus driver/guide. I highly recommend this trip and would do it again!
Some other hotels were very clean, and others were exceptionally filthy. The tour manager was outstanding, she did an excellent job. What I didn’t like was there were people who went on this tour from day one were very sick, coughing up phlegm. It was very disheartening. I am very fortunate that I did not get sick until the last afternoon before we flew out. I probably won’t take a tour again just because of the people who were very ill. Signing up for the trip was very easy, although we did book our own airline tickets because they were much cheaper.
Tour was great thanks to our excellent tour manager, Kelly. Arrangements by the air/flight team not so much. We were not allowed to upgrade our seats until there were no seats to upgrade to. We were extremely disappointed with the way our flights were handled. Being packed like sardines for 4+ hours on a plane was not a good experience. I would not let Collette handle our air transportation again. It’s a shame because the rest of the trip was marvelous.
Ice fields. Bill the bus driver was the best part of the trip!
Kelly was the best tour manager we’ve ever had!! Everything was so organized and fun! The excursions were great and the hotels and meals were excellent. We loved the reverse order from Calgary to Vancouver. Having the excursions first was smart because then we had two wonderful, relaxing days on the Rocky Mountaineer. This whole trip was great.
This tour was awesome. Scenery if amazing. No favorite. All wonderful. If this tour is not on your bucket list, put it there. Make sure you sign up for the tour with the train ride. It is worth every penny.
enjoyed grouse mountain, the bears, the train, scenery and the glacier walk
