Need a little more direction when have lunch we need to organise.
We were rushed constantly. We had a terrible guy who did not really know the area who would always tell us. We have 45 minutes to grab some lunch or an hour to get Little lunch and we have elderly on the bus and they could barely walk we weren’t allowed to shop went to a place where there was a cute little shot, but we were told no shopping. We also were told no shopping at the other museum too. This was the worst trip I have ever been on.
Beautiful part of the world. Had a great time seeing it and meeting delightful fellow travelers. Learned a great deal about the history of this area.
Since I have been doing these tours since the 1980,s , I believe that I have a pretty good opinion of what can be done to make a trip more enjoyable . Move at a slower pace . If it means a couple of days more , all the better .
The itinerary was rushed. I realized we covered a lot of ground but stopping for one hour for lunch and expecting older people to walk to restaurants and find lunch within one hour is ridiculous.
We loved the beauty of our journey and we were very pleased with our guide and our driver. However, dining was average. The first night could have been a better send off. One of our midday stops left us in an area where we had to search for a place to grab lunch. We walked to several stores and ended up hurrying to a Wendy’s to grab something. We were disappointed in that. I loved the Banff area and the beauty of the Fairmont Banff Springs, but our room there was the worst of all our nights. The bathroom was so very small. There was no counter space and only room for one person. However, the breakfast there—not only the food but the atmosphere and the views—were outstanding. Another frustration we had was that one of our special requests was to be given a room close to our traveling partners. That did not happen. I also felt we would have loved wearing name tags so we could better remember names of fellow travelers. In addition, offering the opportunity to provide contact info to fellow travelers would have been appreciated. We absolutely loved the times we spent with the indigenous people! Learning more of their history and culture was so interesting and enjoyable. The lunch served to us at the Painted Warriors stop was lovely. We loved our gondola ride and the views. We were disappointed we could not enjoy a drink because the bar was closed for a wedding. We loved the ride on the Ice Explorer and walking on the glacier. The guide and all of the workers were very helpful and willing and eager to share information.
