This tour hit all of the best locations and had excellent guides! The layovers were timed perfectly and the food was delicious, although expensive at times. The rooms were quite comfortable and mostly spacious. Only ran out of hot water once. All in all a great trip!

Carl our leader demonstrated a high level of knowledge about every location we visited. He drove us safely over I guess 3000 miles; recommended superb restaurants; and was an open friendly chap.

Included dinners are way too late! Pre orders are taken and still there is delays. Earlier dinners please. 4 and 5 star hotel breakfasts are very stingy compared to what they used to be. Very very disappointing way to start very long days. Have more than coffee and pastries! Do better!

The trip was fabulous and it was most fabulous because of our director and our bus driver …. The scenery was spectacular and it was a very very good bus trip. I do believe that everybody enjoyed the time in Nova Scotia. I would recommend this trip for those interested in history, Travel.

Really liked the itinerary. Would love to see an added whale watching excursion....maybe instead of the winery visit. The winery and people were very nice, but the wine wasn't very good.

This tour had such a variety of different experiences - lectures on lobsters, clams, and scallops, a visit to an university that teaches Gaelic, demonstration on how to make a kilt, seeing the inside of lighthouses, going to a cooking school, the beautiful houses in the towns, “Anne of Green Gables” house, the home and museum of Alexander Graham Bell, learning about the indigenous people, going to a maritime museum.

Travel Tips for Canada Adventure Tours

  • Canada gets teeth-chattering cold in winter when temperatures plunge below freezing point. Time your trip for the warmer months unless you plan to ski.
  • Many nationalities can obtain a quick-and-easy Electronic Travel Authorisation (eTA) for a cost of just CAD$7. Others must apply for a visitor visa, which can take several weeks.
  • Try Canada’s tasty traditional dishes like poutine, maple taffy, Quebecois tourtière or a hearty Métis stew.
  • Evaluate your fitness and choose an itinerary to suit your experience since some Canadian hiking tours entail arduous climbs through steep mountainous terrain.
  • Make sure to tip if you’re eating out. Tipping is customary in Canada, so be prepared to fork out a little extra for every meal. The standard sit-down restaurant tip is 15–20%, perhaps more if the service is exceptional.
