Bromo Sunrise & Ijen Blue Fire Tour

Upon your arrival at Surabaya airport, meet and greet with your guide. Then we will drive directly to Bromo to the Cemoro Lawang area for overnight (around 4 hours driving).

Enjoy the different views along the road, from the toll road to hilly terrain and roadside farms. Lunch en route at a local restaurant. Arrive at Cemoro Lawang and check in to your hotel. Enjoy free time at your own leisure and meals on your personal account.

At 3 am, the 4WD will bring us to the world's most famous viewpoint at Mt. Pananjakan (2,750 m) on the rim of the Tengger Caldera. Here, experience the sunrise breaking over the volcano cones including Mt. Bromo and active Mt. Semeru in the background. The views are breathtaking.

We continue across the sand sea to the active Mt. Bromo volcano and climb the 2245 steps to visit the crater (2,500 m). A horseback ride is included, and then the 4WD jeep will bring you back to the hotel for breakfast.

After having breakfast, we check out of the hotel and drive to Ijen (an approximately 6-hour drive). Stop at a local restaurant en route for lunch. Arrive in Ijen for overnight.

We wake around 1 am to start our excursion to Mt. Ijen. We climb up to the rim of the crater and enjoy the sunrise.

Ijen volcanic crater is about 1 km in diameter and 175 meters deep. The floor is covered completely by a warm lake, milky blue-green in color, held back by a dam built many years ago by the Dutch in order to keep the mineral-laden water from raining on the croplands below. In certain parts of the crater, you will see the blue fire.

Trek down the mountain and rejoin the coach, back to your hotel for breakfast, and then at the appropriate time, we will directly transfer you to Ketapang harbor if you plan to cross to Bali for your next trip.
