This was a fantastic trip, highly organised and very enjoyable. our tour director was absolutely the best guide, very knowledgeable and extremely helpful to everyone. We got to see and experience all that each destination had to offer. The couch was clean, comfortable and smooth. This was my first Trafalgar tour and l was very impressed with the highlights and the opportunities for extra experiences we had. The free time was a great way to explore on your own and at your own pace.
This was a great 5500km trip. We saw a great range of sights and learned about the history of each area. The optional experiences extend the experience. The pace was consistent but not too hectic.
Excellent look at all 4 countries, great experiences along the way
This tour gave a great look all round & lived up to its title
It is just a brief oversight of all the cities and attractions as time is very limited. It gives you enough of a look around to see if you would like to return to get to know the city/area better.
The itinerary, despite being fast paced was excellent. The itinerary was well planned and covered way more than I expected. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and easy to get along with and the bus driver was very experienced. The optional extras were excellent and well worth the added experience. I would highly recommend this tour.
Saw so much had a great tour director & a safe driver. My only quiver would be 2 days straight hearing about IRA Derry/Londonery then Belfast. Many of us would had preferred a tour of Titanic museum or a choice of Titanic or taxis re: IRA. So many great shows to enjoy, many comfort stops & photo opportunities. Loved this tour, making great memories
I found it to fast pace not enough time to really see anywhere This may of been due to my age over 70, didn’t see what I expected well enough
Nothing new, I thought the itenary was good.
Intinerary covered everything i wanted to see. Would have stayed 2 nights in less populated towns/villages rather than some other larger cities. I was surprised but the level of physical fitness required described as "dynamic", which i wouldn't agree with, there wasn't a lot of walking or climbing or more rigorous activity involved, which would have been good.
Good itinerary to see most of the popular places across the UK and Ireland. Maintenance in hotels was below standard with many broken appliances across the board. Felt very unsafe in Dublin as the hotel was in an area populated with transients. I feel Trafalgar should review the hotels they use as this was an expensive holiday.
It would have been nice to stay longer like a day or 2 in some of the towns like York, Chester, Glasgow, Dublin, Liverpool etc rather than only a 1.45 hours in some of these places. Some free time to do some shopping not only 1 to 2 hours which included toilet, lunch and shopping. Another issue is that there were many really older couples in the group who slowed down the younger ones, some had back operations and even one with a walker. Many got sick and coughed the whole 3 weeks on the bus and did not wear a mask until the whole bus got infected.
The most amazing experience! Each day revealed amazing experiences and visits to iconic sights! The guide was amazing too as was the very capable driver! I loved the history but most of all meeting people, the taxi drivers in Belfast, the sheep farmer in Scottish Highlands, the jaunt carts in Killarney and amazing drivers. I didn’t mind the rush at times as everything did coordinate well! The Celtic dancers , another highlight! We did seem to rush at Liverpool , in the Cavern and I wanted to buy a Beetles T-shirt at Liverpool but there wasn’t time! Despite some rushed moments the experience was unforgettable. I don’t know what could have been done to prevent the illness that swept through the coach but it wasn’t pleasant! I would say the money was well spent and can recommend the Britain and Ireland Grandeur tour to anyone who wants an unforgettable experience!
, the tour guide was excellent, his knowledge was amazing and so interesting to listen to.
Fantastic trip great itinerary
The tour director really knew his stuff & went out of his way to ensure we all had a great experience, together with the bus driver& made a fantastic team. The itinerary itself was also great, however I would suggest a bus free day in the middle somewhere if it was possible. I would strongly recommend this tour!
A great deal of Great Britain and Ireland was covered and our guide was a wealth of knowledge!
A bit to rushed in places where we could have finished earlier to fit more time in at others where there was not enough time allocated, longer times at places where people were really interested so some more flexibility is required
Wonderful trip! This itinerary covers the whole of the UK and gives a comprehensive history of the making of the UK and Ireland in 20 days This trip is fast paced and not for the faint hearted. It gives a terrific overview of beautiful villages, modern cities and culture and food of the various regions. The highlight and bucket list item for me was the Edinburgh Tattoo in Edinburgh.
The wearing of face masks should be compulsory on a bus if you have A cough, not just recommended, and there should be use of hand sanitizer every time you enter the bus. At each stop, all passengers alighting from the bus should move quickly,as some stops are not that long. You can’t see everything on 20 days, so sadly you don’t see all that much of Emgland. What you do see of the whole UK is excellent.
Active itinerary. Great accommodation. Tour Director excellent. Coach driver excellent. Scottish Highlands a definite highlight for me. Optional extra activities were enjoyable.
It’s a very good trip, good value for money. We really enjoyed it
Great itinerary and really good introduction to Britain and Ireland. We covered over 5000km and saw and did so many things. A lot of the things we did were not things you would find if you were travelling on your own. The tour director and driver add to the experience as the tour director had a great knowledge of the history and places visited and the driver got that coach into places with ease and was also accommodating.
An excellent tour featuring a little of a lot with an exceptional guide, with such knowledge.
It was an excellent experience. There was so much from the beginning to the end. It was brilliant.
Was great trip. Saw a lot of places, some of which it would have been nice to have had more time in and others not so much. However that is the nature of this trip, covered a large area and saw lots.
Too many overnight stays where we would like to explore but no time to do so. Needed more time and perhaps a full day to do our own thing in some places like Liverpool.
The itinerary was great offered plenty of time to see the highlights and explore the cities. For the most part the hotels were great. Just a couple that could have been closer to the city, but it wasn't a big deal. Absolutely loved the trip and would highly recommend to anyone coming to the UK for the first time.
Our itinerary, tour director and drivers were excellent though some of the hotels were not as good as expected due to the heat and either no aircon or fans. Our biggest complaint is that the tour dates were advertised as confirmed and our travel agent checked with Trafalgar at our request and this was confirmed again. We booked everything on this advice and then the dates were changed. This left us out of pocket $1,500 despite the $400 Trafalgar paid us. We were angry as the dates should not have been confirmed until everything was in place. Blaming the date change on not getting Tattoo tickets was not good enough. Our extra costs were due to travel insurance, flights and accommodation. Our travel insurance would not cover these costs due to another agencies error.
It’s a whirlwind trip but I loved it. Our tour director and our driver were terrific and very helpful. Mostly Aussies on this trip was fantastic. This is the trip of a lifetime and I’m glad I went. Thanks Trafalgar.
For someone travelling from Australia, the itinerary does not provide very much of anything new or interesting. The people, the scenery, the culture, the language and the roads and towns are a bit too similar to what is already in Australia. The tour director is knowledgeable about the history and did a great job of keeping everyone informed and on time. The hotels were average class. One hotel we couldn’t get into the shower because the bath was too high with no grab rails to help. The included and optional meals usually had limited options for fussy people. The included buffet breakfasts were usually quite good. I did get to experience trying unique foods such as black pudding, haggis, guinness, Irish coffee and Scotch whisky. UK food is not as good as Australian food. The tour did give some insight into life in the UK and certainly made me appreciate getting home.
This is a fantastic way to experience the breadth of Ireland and the United Kingdom. It covers an array of experiences, places, culture and history. I couldn’t have picked a better tour to cover all the countries and key places.
The tour was well planned and very well led. The driver was very competent and friendly. As well as the written tour visits and optional extras we stopped for comfort stops at other towns with interesting histories that were great to visit.
Tour was great, travellers were wonderful, tour guide was very knowledgeable, but also arrogant and rude.
We had an absolute blast on our tour. , our Tour Director was extremely well organised and was a wealth of knowledge about every location we visited along the way. He shared videos, music, trivia and in depth stories relating to our destinations along the journey which was enjoyed and appreciated. Teamed with our driver who was the most amazing driver, she navigated with precision and presented the coach every day cleaned and in pristine condition. Her care for her passengers and the coach was second to none!! Our luggage was loaded and unloaded from the coach and delivered to and collected from our rooms on arrival and checkout at each stop over which was a huge bonus - thanks to and Hotel Porters. With a couple of small adjustments to the itinerary, which the feedback has been given directly to Trafalgar, it was the perfect detailed tour of Britain and Ireland. Whether your first time or seasoned travellers, you’ll enjoy the many locations including the must see iconic destinations and hidden treasures along the way. So much fun, we made the most of our free time at every stop over exploring all on offer. We would highly recommend this tour, it was fantastic 😊
Itinéraire on the whole was good. My preference would have been for more cultural activities than time set aside for shopping and food consumption..
The itinerary covered England, Ireland Scotland Wales and Northern Ireland. I have been to Europe many times, but not this part. It was also a 20 day tour.
Very informative, also very busy.
Many and varied experiences are included in this tour and the Optional Extras made it a wonderful trip. Delightful Tour Director and Driver as always. I learned a lot and had a great deal of fun and enjoyment.
Could not fault except the five days of moving each day could have had a couple of 2 days as very exhausting each day packing bags and moving on . Our tour guide was amazing as with our driver . We were so very lucky to have both as everything with Thier personalities and professionalism went hand in hand to make our tour of 20 days so smooth as memorable . Will use Trafalgar ext yr for sure
There needs to be more two night stays. It would also be preferable to stay where the are laundry facilities. Our stopover in Glasgow, Scotland’s largest city was barely 16 hours most of which we were asleep. I would also get rid of the Falkirk wheel stop as everyone thought it was very boring and that we stayed way too long! Otherwise I would and have, recommended this tour to others.
There should be more optional activities offered, limited types of activities were only offered
Less free time ie shopping &more site seeing and more double night stays where possible more prepaid purchases
Well organised, fantastic Tour Directer and driver. Although only one night accommodation in some places, which was expected, we visited so many places and if we were a bit ahead of time, extra sightseeing stops were arranged.
Original Itinerary that I booked from the website & Brochure was completely different To what I paid for, saw very little, half of the Optional Experiences were removed, Tour Director was not knowledgeable of history or locations, was unhelpful, had bad OHS & Duty of Care, lazy, enabled bad behaviour and attitudes from other guests on our trip, was only after his tips and commissions/extras didn’t care about anyone but himself. I would never book another Trafalgar Tour ever again, absolute waste of money.
It was terrible, It needs to be rewritten as it gives a false narrative of what customers will be doing & seeing, what is included and what is Optional, need to offer all Optionals to customers not just what the Tour Director wants to do or what is the easiest, Itinerary needs to list every activity for each day & needs multiple days in a city/town to explore on their own or free days.
The variety of activities makes the trip more interesting and there is something for everyone.
Great itinerary. Takes in most of the iconic areas of the UK.
Was a fantastic trip, everything was organised and managed by the travel director. I loved just jumping on the bus everyday and learning the history of beautiful locations. The curated itinerary was perfectly balanced and allowed us to experience things I would have never found on a separate journey.
Fantastic tour & would highly recommend. Tour director was knowledgeable, funny, courteous & her attention to detail was appreciated. The tour went smoothly & we fitted in so much in a short amount of time of time. Wayne the driver was always attentive to the passengers and an excellent driver along those winding UK & Irish roads. Thank you Trafalgar for the amazing memories.
We absolutely loved our recent Britain and Ireland Grandeur tour with Trafalgar! From start to finish, everything was incredibly well organised and ran smoothly without a hitch. Our tour guide was truly exceptional – knowledgeable, warm and always went the extra mile to make every stop special. , our amazing driver, made us feel completely safe and comfortable every kilometre of the way. The itinerary was fantastic, showcasing so many stunning sights across England, Scotland, Ireland and Wales. We also really appreciated the optional extras – they added so much to the experience. This tour exceeded all our expectations and gave us memories to last a lifetime!
Best itinerary for seeing the whole country. Tour director and Drivers knowledge was exceptional. Accomodation well thought out. Optional experiences were the icing on the cake.
The itinerary was very interesting and we enjoyed our trip. We both got bad flu as it seemed to go through the whole bus which put a damper on or trip and our follow up cruise after the bus tour.
Awesome travel director () and coach driver (). was very welcoming and clear in all her communications. Her knowledge of the locations visited was commendable. She made the trip smooth and seamless. was an extremely skilled driver who was always friendly and professional and such a gentleman who helped both males and females alight safely from the coach. Itinerary was perfect, hotels were great. Time spent in each location was appropriate.
This ziti dry was extensive and covered a great deal of England ,Ireland and Scotland.
Trafalgar's Britain and Ireland Grandeur Tour was very comprehensive and had a lot of sightseeing and dinner inclusions . It was also also extremely well run by our Tour Guide who was ably assisted by our experienced Coach Driver .
It was jam packed and never a dull moment. Our Travel Director was the best. Organised, knowledable and really entertaining. The local experts also gave the trip meaning and a deeper understanding of each place. Really loved the Belfast taxi tour.
Perfect combination of itinerary, tour leader, coach driver and experiences. Wonderful local highlights with many hidden gems intertwined with the fabulous countryside.
What a fantastic trip! Many memories and experiences were had that I'll hold and cherish forever from this holiday. I found that the itinerary was perfectly paced to see and do a lot of amazing things and used the time well. There were, however, options to slow down a bit for those who needed a rest day or didn't want to do absolutely everything. The included and optional meals were all fabulous and the venues catered to special dietary requirements when needed. The places visited included a good mix of bustling cities and tranquil country settings and the local specialists we had for city tours and experiences were all gems of local people. There were family groups, couples and single travellers on our tour and many new friends were made. Our tour director was an absolute expert in what he does. He was very entertaining, extremely knowledgable, catered for everyone's needs and went out of his way to add extra details and treats which made you feel like a VIP. Our driver was top notch with driving skill, promptness and kept an impeccably clean coach. You always felt safe and comfortable on board. The tour director and driver both were very friendly, approachable and worked as a fantastic team together. I honestly can't fault my experience with this Trafalgar tour and the quality of the two staff members we had.
Great way to see the most of the UK in one go. Fabulous Travel Director and Coach Driver! Made so much effort to make everyone feel comfortable and enjoy their holiday to the max.
Yes ok : it was friendly, helpful, efficient, well organised and fun.
An itinerary that was packed full of excellent sites, but organised in such a way that there were times for rest as well.
Amazing trip . It was so busy everyday but it was never rushed . Our TD was full of information and always ready to help .
My wife and I enjoyed the Trafalgar tour, we experienced a lot of things that we wouldn’t have known about on a self guided holiday. Our guide and driver did an excellent job. Unfortunately we became unwell during the tour and it was very difficult to recover whilst on the tour due to the busy schedule of the tour. So in future we probably would not do a 20 day tour. We would try and have a couple of rest days in the middle as a contingency so that we could maximise the enjoyment of the unique experiences provided.
The itinerary is excellent and we saw more places and learned more history than expected. The extra options were all fantastic but added to the overall cost significantly. By doing all the extra things there was very little downtime if any.
Maybe not as many single night stays over the 20 days. And not having to pick all the options at once.
Our tour guide gave as us a great over view of Great Britain and its wealth of history
Great trip covering all the main bucket list places in Ireland and Scotland in particular. Accommodation and planned events and dinners were excellent and well planned. Remember you don't have to do all the additional outings on offer, but spend some as free time to explore the local pub or other venues at your leisure. The last 2 days from Edinburgh to London seemed rushed with most time in coach travelling. An extra day with a stay on the east coast of England would enhance the trip.
Our travel expenses was very good.the time spent with and was fantastic.the time they took to look after all on board was of great value, making everyone well cared for.thank you guys for your wonderful care and entertaining experience.l defiantly travel with Trafalgar Tours again.thank you both for all your care.
The tour itself was very good. We had a fantastic Tour Director, Parri, and a very skilled coach driver. Very few of the hotels had fans let alone air conditioning and could be hot. All the beds except for one, were very comfortable which is important to us. Included breakfasts were excellent. The optional extras generally were very expensive and although we enjoyed most, we also felt some were not worth the money. Hence we cancelled 4 of the last optional extras towards the end. On the whole, a most enjoyable and well organised tour - largely due to our wonderful and knowledgeable tour director. Overall a very memorable and enjoyable experience, which we will not doubt repeat in future.
Saw so much... amazingly comprehensive and a great tour director. 5 countries and over 5000km.
Was a. Great trip Learnt heaps, saw lots, met many people. Had a great tour director who was very professional and handled any unexpected problem without any visible stress. Likewise our coach driver was very capable and was cheered by all after handling a couple of awkward situations caused by cars in narrow roadways.
