This was our first ever multi-day bicycle trip. We loved it. The Danube cycle path offered a variety of scenery…the beautiful river, forests, rural and agricultural areas, small towns, cities, ancient and modern places. The hotels that were arranged for us were lovely and the luggage transport worked flawlessly. We loved the bountiful Austrian style breakfasts. Our only complaint was that one bike was difficult to pedal for the first two days, until we had it repaired at a bike shop. The chain was rubbing on the chain guard and the front wheel was overtightened. Later, as we were approaching Vienna, the handlebars on that bike suddenly became loose and swiveled 30 degrees, which could have caused a serious accident. So we recommend that the mechanics who provide the bikes do a much more thorough job of inspecting and testing each one, as if their spouse was going to ride it for 210 miles.

Our cycle tour was a special birthday celebration for me and my sisters 60th year and it didn’t disappoint. The tour was very well organised, from the information we received when collecting our bikes, the maps and additional info, to the collecting of our luggage every morning and the delivery of the luggage to the next destination. We had paid extra for 4 star hotels and whilst most of them were lovely there was one hotel that was definitely not a 4 star hotel. We were very lucky with the weather, and thoroughly enjoyed every day cycling along the stunningly beautiful Danube. Truly a holiday to remember. As a result of this experience we are eagerly planning our next cycling holiday.

Loved the trip to Eastern Europe what made the trip very enjoyable was having Rhi Smith she was the best tour guide I have ever had/ I have traveled extensively

This was a good itinerary. We got to see a lot and had a good glimpse of the areas covered. Rhi was very informed of the areas and accommodating to my food allergy. One thing that was challenging: there were some mornings we left earlier than I would have expected. I understand leaving early for busy sites like the Parthenon. I am talking about leaving at 7:30/7:45 when a restaurant at a hotel opens at 7:00 AM. Sometimes we were leaving quite early with a day of driving just so we could make extra stops (which were perhaps not on the itinerary?) This made for an even busier day and needless anxiousness by the traveler. To be blunt, many people need time from eating breakfast and drinking coffee for their bowels to get moving. This is about an hour for many people. Leaving earlier just created anxiousness since we were afraid we would have to use bathroom on the coach - not ideal.

Everything was wonderful! our travel director was great! All the excursions were worth the money. I liked all the hotels but Berlin - the hotel was nice but the location was not! I meet a lot of wonderful people. The bus had WiFi and charging was available in each seat. Can’t wait to go on my next trip!

The quality of customer service and satisfaction is never an accident but the result of intelligent effort to meet the details required each and every time. was outstanding in making this group experience exceptional for our forty-three member group. Let me explain in detail: Our group diversity consisted of three multiple member families; five couples along with ten single women attendees; five different countries were represented speaking in four different languages. Trafalgar’s twenty plus multifaceted optional experience generates a logical nightmare for any Travel Director to accomplish for the eighteen day journey. The success of every trip begins with the Travel Director who serves as the facilitator of the process for accomplishing each detail of a multiple offering. Having served in a forty-two year career involving health care, customer service, education training and event management you recognize excellence when it is experienced. met and exceeded those daily challenges and made our trip for those in our group an outstanding one that will always be remembered. A valued team member that is sometimes lost in the evaluation process is that of the professional Coach Driver. Anton Korcon who was our Driver will always be remembered as the “Local Good Will Ambassador” at each stop and every day as we began the tour. is exceptional for not only being our professional driver but the service and positive greeting that we all received with a smile. He became a special member to our group because of his ability to connect with each member and always being there to welcome us back from each event. Large companies and organizations will espouse the statement that “our employees are our greatest assets” and in this case the Trafalgar team of and are exemplary examples of this being a true statement. Memories that get shared from travelers are more than the sites being visited but include those positive interactions and interpersonal communication skills of those encountered along the journey. and deserve that recognition for making this Trafalgar trip one of our best.
