Itinerary
Dive into Kenya’s wild side with a 3-day safari trip through the legendary Tsavo West and Tsavo East National Parks. Encounter African wildlife up close, from elephants and rhinos to lions, giraffes, and countless bird species as you traverse Tsavo’s red-soil plains and lush savannahs.
Enjoy a guided nature walk to Mzima Springs—home to hippos, crocodiles, and vibrant avian life. At Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, learn about the conservation success story of Kenya’s black rhino population, now thriving in this protected haven at the base of the Ngulia Hills.
The unique selling point of this tour package is its combination of classic game drives and insightful guided walks, providing both thrilling wildlife encounters and an educational perspective on the region’s natural wonders.
day 1 - Drive from Nairobi to Tsavo West
Depart from Nairobi City Airport at 7 in the morning. Drive to Tsavo West National park via the Nairobi-Mombasa Road. Entrance into the park will be through Mtito Gate. Start your game drive en-route to your lodge/ camp.
Have lunch and take some rest. Enjoy an extensive game drive in the afternoon. See elephants, giraffes, buffalo, antelopes and an occasional lion during your game drive. Visit Ngulia Rhino Sanctuary, home to Tsavo’s growing population of endangered black rhinos that nearly became extinct due to rampant poaching.
day 2 - Tsavo East National Park
Leave your camp or lodge soon after breakfast and proceed to Tsavo East National Park, which borders the Mkomazi Game Reserve and Chyulu Hills National Park in Tanzania and is famous for its red-soil plains. Enjoy seeing wildlife along the way. Dinner and overnight stay at Voi Safari Lodge.
day 3 - Drive back to Nairobi/ Mombasa
Enjoy an early-morning breakfast followed by an extensive game drive. See the natural beauty of Tsavo East and visit the spine of the Yatta Plateau, one of the world's longest lava flows. Other highlights of the area include the Mudanda Rock, which acts as a water catchment for a natural dam below; Lugard Falls, a series of rapids on the Galana River; and Aruba Dam.
After you are done with the trip, you have the option of driving to either Mombasa or Nairobi and dropping off at your preferred destination.
