An African Safari has been on my bucketlist for years and the Kenya & Tanzania Safari exceeded all of my expectations! It was an amazing once in a life time trip. The guides were wonderful and very knowledgeable. They were excellent in knowing where the animals could be and getting us as close as they could to them. All of the add on activities were 100% worth the money and time. The Village tour and the Sheldrick Elephant Sanctuary were highlights of the trip. If you are even slightly considering doing a safari in Africa with Contiki let this be your sign to just do it. You won't regret it.

I’m an amateur wildlife photographer and booked this safari mainly to shoot the “Big Five.” I wasn’t disappointed. The 4x4 vehicles had pop-up roofs which made it super easy to get clear shots. The guides were patient and even repositioned the vehicle to help me get better angles. I got shots of a male lion at golden hour, a herd of elephants with dust clouds swirling, and flamingos creating a pink blanket over Lake Nakuru. Even beyond the animals, Kenya is photogenic as heck—acacia trees silhouetted against the sunset, Maasai people in their beautiful red garments, and of course, Mount Kilimanjaro standing quietly in the background at Amboseli. This wasn’t just a vacation—it was a creative recharge. I’m already editing my portfolio to include a “Kenya” section!

The ceos and driver were amazing. The roads are a lot busier and bumpier than I am used to, but I always felt complete trust that we would be safe. The ceos were also great at bringing our group together and made it feel like family.
