Hi Ritu,
I'm sorry for my delay in responding.
Our experience was fabulous! Your company did a truly wonderful job in making sure that all parts of the trip went smoothly. We appreciated how staff checked in on us and saw us to our next destination. Karan our driver was incredibly kind and professional. We really enjoyed spending time with him. The guides were good as well; we had exceptional guides in Agra and Jaipur.
Thank you for a great trip.
Best,
Jodi Marcus
This tour gave me a complete taste of India, from the bustling streets of Delhi to the serene backwaters of Kerala. Every destination was thoughtfully planned and the local experiences were exceptional.
Goodness what to say?! Had lots of expectations as I’ve been trying to get to Bhutan since Covid took over and had amazing time!! One of quietest countries I’ve visited but they shared my love of karaoke! So much nature, beautiful views, some times too much nature (my allergies went wild) but it was great time, lovely people, very welcoming, loved telling them about London & Peckham. Shout out to my guide and driver, Pemba and the Captain. Thank you 😊 😊
Thank you for organizing quickly my trip as per my request. I really appreciated the fast and efficiency work in organizing this trip. Almost everything met my expectations. My friend who went to Kerala and Tamil Nadu few years ago gave me the email of this tour organizer and I am very satisfied. I am a woman from France and it was my first time in India. I decided to trust them and now I know They are reliable and I would recommend it to my friends. Now I come back home with full of amazing souvenirs from Kerala & Tamil Nadu and I feel so relaxed now. Thanks again for everything !
Itinerary was exactly as stated.
We had problems with flights as the air space had been closed down. Explore were outstanding in getting us alternative flights and we caught up with the group only a day late. Top marks explore.
We loved this trip. Yes, some of the hotels were pretty average, yes a few didn't have hot water, and yes some had extremely inefficient staff, but that's not what you are going for.
We got to visit the Kamakhya temple in Guwahati which should be on the itinerary. Each place we visited throughout the trip was very much worth the time and effort to get there. Even on the long drive days the stops didn't feel like just fillers that you might get somewhere else.
Kaziranga National Park was a lovely day and we saw a lot of elephant and dozens of rhino. So much more than we thought we might, and at a lot closer quarter too.
The trek down to the root bridges at Cherrapunjee was another highlight. It is a big effort as described in the notes and in other reviews, but worth every step. They are remarkable. We walk a lot, but never previously used walking poles, however, we did on this day and I'd highly using them. The hotel there is lovely with great views over the Sylhet plains into Bangladesh.
Hornbill Festival was incredible and a massive highlight. Our guide, Pema, got us to the festival nice and early and we were able to experience all the tribal groups entering the arena to take their places, all singing, chanting, drumming. Absolutely wonderful and an experience we will remember for a long time. And a second day to fully absorb it. Amazing, loved it!
The Majuli Island stay was another totally different environment. The ferry to and from is a great experience. The temple visits were beautiful and a contrast to the full on craziness of Hornbill Festival. It was also really lovely to be able to walk through small villages and meet local people.
The day at Longwa village was another extraordinary time. Meeting the ex headhunters, a wander through the hilltop border village, a great lunch in a longhouse. So different from anywhere else we've been.
And the last night in a lovely old colonial tea bungalow and time meeting the ladies picking leaves on the plantation was a lovely treat.
Things don't work in this part of the world as you may be accustomed to, but just go with it and this trip will reward you with some extraordinary experiences.
We had an absolutely amazing time in Bhutan. The people, the food, the sights and the natural beauty exceeded our expectations. Our guide, driver and trek crew were outstanding. Bhutan is a special place and we plan to visit again.
Thanks to the very swift reply of Thinley and his team an easy booking of my 13 days of stay in Bhutan was complete in 3 days including flights to Paro and e-Visa. Thinley was always responsible to my needs during my stay. This local travel specialist does have excellent connections so that my trekking was led by an experienced mountain guide and a team, which made my trekking experience very safe. They do also have a wide variety of 3* to 5* hotels, which accommodate everybody’s need. As a trekker I chose 3* hotels and was very happy.
