Amazing variety of experiences, excellent tour guide and local specialists. I also loved that Trafalgar supports local artists and family run farms. A highlight for me was the Make Travel Matter experience with the weavers.

My experience with G Adventures was absolutely incredible. This was my first time travelling and I couldn?t have asked for a better way to do it. As a female solo traveller, I found that G Adventures was a great way to travel while creating friendships and feeling safe. The CEOs are absolutely phenomenal and add so much value to travelling, especially if you don?t know too much about the destinations you?re travelling to. Everything is so well organised and coordinated. Can?t wait for my next G trip.

About This Trip
On this journey, you will discover some of the most famous destinations in Spain, Switzerland, Italy, and Austria. Start your journey in Barcelona, where you will go on a guided tour to the Monastery of Poblet, located in northeastern Spain, one of the best-preserved medieval monasteries in the world. In Barcelona, tour the city and discover the iconic Ras Ramblas Street. Your tour continues with driving in the region of Provence to arrive in the charming town of Chamberry. Continue to Switzerland and enjoy beautiful lakes and mountains with snow-capped peaks on your way to Zurich. Your journey continues in Rome, the ancient Capital of Italy, and get to know about its history on a panoramic tour and in the Trastevere area. You will also visit St. Peter’s Basilica in the heart of Vatican City and the impressive Roman Coliseum. Moving to Venice, you will take the boat, cross the Grand Canal to the Island of Venice, and visit the marvelous St. Mark´s Square and the Murano Glass Factory. Then travel along a scenic road between the mountains on your way to Kitzbuhel in Austria and take a cable car ride up to the high mountains surrounding the city with fantastic scenery. Later, you will explore the beautiful Traunsee Lake in Traunkirchen and see four castles. Your journey ends in Vienna with majestic avenues, its palaces, and its vibrant city center. Here you will visit the Schonbrunn Palace and enjoy its beautiful gardens.
I think this travel style is great if you are young and on a shoestring budget but the experience was a bit of a hit or miss when it comes to the hostel or transportation. The people were amazing and we had just enough information to figure out what we want to do that day but there's a room for improvement in organization. Overall it was fun but I'm hesitant to do Roamies again.

Marvel at Gaudi’s masterpieces in Barcelona, spot locals sipping pastis in Nice and admire Florence the home of Michelangelo and the Renaissance, as you circle the azure waters of the Mediterranean. Embrace the city of Pisa with a stop at the famous leaning tower, where Italian astronomer Galileo was said to have pioneered his theories of gravity. In France, work up an appetite in the medieval streets. In Spain, dine with the locals in Basque tradition with an evening of San Sebastian pintxos tastings, snack-sized tapas, while sipping on a refreshing glass of local Txakoli wine. In Rome, taste the seasonal flavours and of course, handmade pasta.
On a journey through the less-traveled country roads of Umbria and Tuscany, discover another side to the Italy you love. Stroll Assisi’s old city, and explore the Umbrian hill town of Spoleto, where the gilded façade of the cathedral rivals with the silvery sheen of the olive trees. Visit Florence, the “Cradle of the Renaissance.” In Siena, stand inside one of Tuscany’s most ancient piazzas. Admire the famous towers of San Gimignano and hunt for truffles in the Umbrian countryside. Delight in regional specialties and Italian wine with every dinner. This new Geluxe style of traveling was exceptional!! It packed so many activities and excursions during the entire trip! I active hiking along the way was a nice bonus to not only see the beautiful countryside and villages but to earn our multiple wine tastings and delicious food. And what a great way to cap off the trip with a Vespa ride through Rome. This was definitely a highlight! Our CEO Barbara made this trip so memorable with her keen attention to detail, her endless knowledge of the area and her warm spirit! This was our 6th Gadventure trip and Barbara was the best CEO we've ever had!!
