This trip, while short, provides an in-depth discovery of much of central Italy: Rome and the Colosseum, Florence and the David, Pizza, Verona, and Venice featuring a glass blowing demonstration and optional tour to Burano for a truly unique dinner.
The tour also provides an opportunity for time on your own to explore on one’s own pace or visit sites of personal interest.
In my case, I could visit Peggy Guggenheim’s museum ( with instructions on how best to get there by our guide) in Venice and have dinner in Rome at a restaurant recommend by an Italian friend.
This one swings you from Rome to Naples, the home of pizza and gateway to Pompeii, before gliding along the dreamy Amalfi Coast. After falling for Capri and postcard pretty Positano, it's time to head to Sicily for a week of dreamy beaches, incredible food and endless ancient history. This Italian adventure has a little something for everyone.
The tour was excellent. Sonny was an incredible driver, prompt, friendly and kind. Our tour guide, Callum 'Blinky' Pyper, was full of historical and local knowledge, friendly, patient and kind. Both took very good care of us. We enjoyed all the excursions as they allowed for a bit more interaction with the local cultures.

From Venice to Rome, you’ll be ticking off bucket list sites, forging friendships and making memories. Beach hop around lakes and the sea, sample Tuscan wine, eat your favourite foods in the cities they were born in and soak in more art, history and culture than you can handle. When your bellies, brains and bags are full at the end of this whirlwind Italian experience, say arrivederci to your new travel besties and the trip of a lifetime.
Small budget, small window of time, big list of Must Dos? The European Encounter should do the trick. Make your way through 8 countries, catching some rays on the Italian Riviera, downing pizza in Rome & exploring castles in Prague. If you know a better way to spend just under two and a half weeks, we need to hear about it!
Traverse from top to toe of Italy's 'boot' and explore ancient ruins and iconic sites. Eat your weight in pasta and tuck into giant pizzas as you get lost in Venice and find yourself in the Tuscan countryside. This 24-day trip will take you to all the best spots and teach you all the most important parts of Italian culture – like how to roll pasta like the pros! Visit Mount Etna, as you drive up the northern flank of the volcano and take a walk through the spectacular Valle del Bove. Visit a family-run winery, learn about ancient Pompeii and write home about your three amazing Feature Stays – all with a local leader by your side.
It was great traveling with other women. I felt some days were too busy, especially the miles we went one day for 45 minutes at a spare. Really enjoyed the meals.
Unforgettable trip! The small group made for a relaxed, fun atmosphere we were often crying with laughter. Huge credit to our tour manager, who kept everything running smoothly and brought great energy throughout.
If there’s one suggestion, it would be to skip Marseille ( feels unsafe ) and consider a stop in St. Tropez or Cannes instead for a more memorable coastal experience.
From East to West we’ll explore the best of Europe as it comes alive in winter, from the historical heritage, colourful street art and infamous ruin bars of Krakow and Budapest, to breathing in the crisp alpine air of the Austrian Alps & strolling the cobbled streets and markets of Ljubljana, before encountering all the charms of Italy with a hit of culture and pasta.
Explore some of Europe’s cultural highlights and year-round coolest cities by winter. Take in cosmopolitan Copenhagen and the party capital of Berlin before exploring the melting-pot of old and new that is Eastern Europe, marvel at the mountain vistas of Austria, wrap up warm to cruise the canals of Venice, soak up the history of Rome and take in all the magic of London to Rome without the summer crowds.
