I recently completed the Manaslu & Tsum Valley trek, and it’s safe to say it was one of the most rewarding and culturally rich experiences I’ve had in the Himalayas.
From the start, the communication with the company was clear, prompt, and reassuring. They helped tailor the itinerary slightly to suit my pace and interests, and everything from permits to logistics was handled smoothly—which is no small feat in such a remote region.
Our guide, was fantastic—not only knowledgeable about the trails, villages, and cultural nuances, but also genuinely caring and adaptable. He struck the perfect balance between giving us space to take in the environment and stepping in when needed (especially during the tougher parts of the trail).
The trek itself is stunning but not for the faint-hearted. Compared to more well-known routes like Annapurna or Everest, this one feels wilder and less developed, which was exactly what I was looking for. The trails wind through deep gorges, suspension bridges, serene monasteries, and small villages that still feel untouched by mass tourism. Tsum Valley in particular felt incredibly special—like stepping into another world, with its Tibetan-influenced culture and timeless pace of life.
Accommodation was understandably basic in many places, but my guide chose the best available tea houses and kept me and the others well-fed and comfortable. Even during the colder nights at higher altitudes, we always felt looked after.
Overall, this trek was physically demanding, culturally immersive, and emotionally grounding. It’s not your typical tourist trail, and that’s exactly why I’d recommend it—and especially go with a reputable company —to anyone seeking a more authentic Himalayan adventure. In a safe way!

The AP mini circuit has to be considered as a viable alternative to the full circuit(which I have not done) - if you have a fortnight and are confident of your trekking abilities, you will get all the thrill of the trek up the Valley and over the 5416m pass , a descent through the incredible Mustang valley on the other side followed by a memorable flight past the AP range back to Pokhara .

We had awesome trek to see Gurung community with the help of Sujan and the local operator. We managed historic hill trek to Siklis still retains an aura of old times. Historically, Siklis is renowned as one of the major origin places of Gurung Community. Here, we find the various ritual practices of Gurungs especially the works of Jhankri (shaman) and Lama (priest), who have important roles in marriage, death and day-to-day lives. Traditional technologies like alcohol fermentation, weaving clothes and sacks from the wild nettle, weaving various bamboo products, traditional water mills and stone grinders, wooden threshers etc are also the important features of Siklis. In this region we spot Nepals birds of prey including the 9ft wingspan Lammergeyer. The region is rich in flora and fauna particularly birds and butterfly because of its pristine forested surroundings and the great mountain views add an excitement. The experience was just awesome. Langtang's short trek to Kyangin Ri hiking route lies insight into the Langtang National Park, which is one of the most beautiful and least tourist short mountain treks in Nepal. The trek needs 8 days including 2 gorgeous days local drive from Kathmandu to Syabrubashi near to Tibet border and return. The trek route is popular for Tamang Village, Buddhist Culture, Yaks Farm, Flora, and fauna and offers you stunning views of mountain ranges of Mt. Langtang Lirung, Naya Kanga Peak, Ganjala Peak, Lang Shisha Ri, and Yala Peak, Mt. Manaslu, Ganesh Himal, Dorje Lakpa and more.
