Enjoy the beauty of the majestic Himalayas
Imagine capturing the sunrise over the Annapurna and Dhaulagiri ranges, golden light spilling across snow-capped peaks—this is the magic that awaits on the Poon Hill trek. Tailor-made for young adults and seasoned explorers seeking a gentle yet rewarding adventure, this short trip delivers a taste of Nepal’s natural splendor without high-altitude demands.
Your journey sets off from Pokhara, weaving through lush forests, lively river valleys, and traditional villages inhabited by the Magar and Gurung peoples. Along the trail, vibrant birdlife and the warm hospitality of local teahouses create an immersive trekking experience. The highlight comes at Poon Hill itself, perched at 3,200 meters, where early risers are treated to a legendary sunrise—an unmissable spectacle for photographers and nature lovers alike.
Beyond the views, this trekking tour is also a window into Nepalese culture, with stops at Ulleri, Ghorepani, and Ghandruk offering firsthand encounters with local customs and daily life. If you want a quick, accessible Himalayan getaway that weaves together stunning landscapes and cultural discovery, Poon Hill stands out for its ease, beauty, and iconic sunrise moments.
This local operator is very professional and the guides are extremely experienced and friendly. Ive very much enjoyed my trek to Poon Hill. Highly recommended for anyone who wants to have fun trekking in Nepal.
This hike was my first ever, it was difficult because of weather but the guide (Dev) and porters helped us with everything they could and created very nice experience for us. Thank you
This hike was amazing. Is was my first hike ever so the last few days were a bit tough but still not as tough as I thought it would be. We had amazing views which i really enjoyed in the first few days but is was very rainy and cloudy in the last few days due to the monsoon season. I enjoyed passing the villages with kind locals and seeing so many animals anywhere. With good A/B or B shoes and magnesium powder you will be fine. You can buy water anywere but its mostly bottled. Great hike which I would love to do again in another season. I recommend this hike to anyone who only has a few days or for beginners.
