2 Day Inca Trail To Machu Picchu - July 2027

2 day Inca trail to Machu Picchu - July 2027

We had a fabulous nine-day tour, including the two day Inca experience, Inca trail/Machu Picchu, and Rainbow Mountain. John, our contact, met us at the airport and helped us generally acclimate to the new culture. We cannot praise Adolfo, our guide, enough for his knowledge, experience, and attentiveness to our needs. He was so fun to be with. Our driver, Edgar, was excellent. All over, a fantastic adventure.

The Last Inca Bridge & Four Lagoon Tour - July 2027

The Last Inca Bridge & Four Lagoon Tour - July 2027

There is more about the Incas than just Machu Picchu. Join us on this guided day trip to see Queshuachaca, the last operational Inca bridge. We will pick you up from your hotel in Cusco at 6:45 am. Your first destination is the four lagoons, where you will reach after almost two hours on the road. The Pomacanchi Lagoon is the largest and most important of the four. The other three are the Acopia Lagoon, Laguna Asnaqocha and the Pampamarca Lagoon. After enjoying some quiet moments near the lagoons, it is time to head for the Apurímac River where lies the impressive Inca bridge. This hanging Inca bridge is made of vegetable fiber (ichu) and is located in the district of Quehue. The renovation and maintenance of this bridge is done once every year by members of the four communities living in nearby villages that use this bridge. Cross the bridge twice before heading back to Cusco. Stop by to see the colonial bridge of Checacupe and learn more about the difference between the two. You will reach the city by 7:00 pm.

This Trek was amazing. I had done the short inca trail before but David, our guide, made it more memorable than the first. He was incredibly knowledgeable, beyond patient and brilliantly tempered. The organisation was flawless. Can't recommend David and his tour agency highly enough. Thanks so much guys.

Maras Moray – Salineras Maras And Moray 1 Day Tour - July 2027

Maras Moray – Salineras Maras and Moray 1 Day Tour - July 2027

This six-hour, guided, group tour will take you to two Inca highlights around Cusco. We will pick you up from your accommodation in Cusco at 8:00 am and drive you through the mountains to Moray, the first destination of this trip. Once there, you will get the chance to learn more about the importance of this place and its function in the Inca era while taking some amazing photos. Located on a high plateau around 50 kilometres outside Cusco, Moray consists of several terraced, circular depressions along with an irrigation system and is said to have been used as an agricultural laboratory by the Incas. Next, we will take to the town of Maras where you can see Spanish, colonial-style architecture. But more than that, Maras is famous for its salinas, or salt ponds. Take in the sight of more than 3,000 salt ponds dug down a canyon in terraces. These ponds are still being maintained and exploited by the local population. It is time to return to Cusco after you are done seeing the two highlights. The transport will drop you off at the city centre (Cusco's main square) at 2:00 pm. However, if you have booked the optional private transport with us, we will drop you off at your hotel in the city.

Your tour starts with a walking tour to visit the principal local market, San Pedro. Among them is a famous painting of the Last Supper by Marcos Zapata, showing Christ and the apostles eating a guinea pig. Then visit another important Inca site known as Qenqo, which houses subterranean passages and a mummification site. After that, you will make a short visit to the archaeological Inca site of Tambomachay, a temple dedicated to the god of water. We will have a lovely home-style lunch, in the heart of the traditional neighborhood of San Blas, in a picturesque, rustic courtyard surrounded by cherry trees and tumbles. Perfect for an outdoor lunch next to the wood-fired oven accompanied by a melodious Andean harp. After lunch, we will return to the city center, where you will visit one of the most sacred Inca buildings, the Temple of Qoricancha. Within its walls religious ceremonies were constant, and offerings to the Gods and the Inca’s mummies were made each day. After the city tour you will be dropped off at your hotel.

Full-day Palcoyo Mountain Tour - July 2027

Full-day Palcoyo Mountain Tour - July 2027

Outside of Cusco lies a truly magical landscape of colored mountains and sweeping valleys in the Andes. While Rainbow Mountain (Vinicunca) has gained a lot of fame among travelers, thereby receiving hundreds of visitors on a daily basis, few travelers realize that there are multiple rainbow mountains dotting this other-worldly landscape. Be part of this off-the-beaten-track experience and travel to Palcoyo during this day trip. Starting from the Main Square of Cusco, we will take you to Palcoyo where you can take pictures and enjoy this otherworldly landscape before it is time to travel back to the city. Although not as popular as Vinicunca, Palcoyo, discovered only in 2018, is very similar to the well-known mountain. And since few travelers know about this, you can be assured of encountering fewer tourists when you are hiking through its landscape.
