The Everest High Passes trek leads to the three difficult, high passes of the stunning Everest region: Kongma La at 5535m, Cho La at 5420m and Renjo La at 5340m. We start our trip with an adventurous flight to Tenzing Hillary airport at Lukla followed by a trek along the classic route through Sagarmatha National Park to the mighty Dudhkoshi river, and past beautiful landscapes, chortens and monasteries. We make our way to the Everest Base Camp after reaching the summit of Kongma La.
After visiting Everest base camp and climbing to the highest point, Kalapatthar 5,545m, the trail leads over Cho-la pass 5,386m to reach a scenic Gokyo Lake and the valley with a tremendous panorama viewpoint.

Many people have described the Kanchenjunga trek as the finest trekking route in Nepal. It is a long trek going deep into the remote mountain ranges on Nepal’s border with Sikkim and Tibet. The trail explores the areas around Kanchenjunga the second highest mountain in Nepal and the third highest mountain in the world (once thought to be the highest among the world’s giants).
The mountain is part of the Great Himalaya Range. The Kanchenjunga massif is in the form of a gigantic cross, the arms of which extend north, south, east, and west. This recently opened Kanchenjunga region routes offer the chance to discover absolutely unspoiled highlands wilderness. In Tibetan, ‘Kanchenjunga’ means ‘the five treasure houses of snow’, which gives you some idea of what to expect when visiting the area. The Kanchenjunga conservation area (20,35Sq km) extends into protected areas in Sikkim and Tibet, and comprises beautiful and unspoiled wilderness. The area is snow leopard territory, but the reclusive predator shares the unbounded forests with the Himalayan black bear and the Assamese macaque, musk deer and red panda among others. Cascading waterfalls, lush vegetation and thousands of species of plants await the trekker. More than 2,000 different flowering plants have been recorded in the Kanchenjunga area and in the springtime some of the richest rhododendron forests in Nepal can be seen.

After exploring the area, we retrace our path, head for Thame, trek to Lukla, and fly back to Kathmandu.
On the trek, you may glimpse rare species such as musk deer, wild mountain goat, snow leopard, and hawk. Locals believe in the existence of the infamous Yeti as well. You may witness it as well; you never know!

We had awesome trek to see Gurung community with the help of Sujan and the local operator. We managed historic hill trek to Siklis still retains an aura of old times. Historically, Siklis is renowned as one of the major origin places of Gurung Community. Here, we find the various ritual practices of Gurungs especially the works of Jhankri (shaman) and Lama (priest), who have important roles in marriage, death and day-to-day lives. Traditional technologies like alcohol fermentation, weaving clothes and sacks from the wild nettle, weaving various bamboo products, traditional water mills and stone grinders, wooden threshers etc are also the important features of Siklis. In this region we spot Nepals birds of prey including the 9ft wingspan Lammergeyer. The region is rich in flora and fauna particularly birds and butterfly because of its pristine forested surroundings and the great mountain views add an excitement. The experience was just awesome. In November 2023 me and my friend embarked on a bucket list adventure. We booked a private tour for the drive in and out EBC via Gokyo Ri trip. Right from the get go everything was smooth, the communication at the head office made it appear there was no time difference between the U.K. and Nepal.
Upon arriving in Nepal the pick up from the airport and briefing were clear and to the point with no delays or issues. The trek itself has definitely been one of the most beautiful and difficult things I have ever embarked upon and I have NO regrets with my choice in agency or itinerary!
My tour guide for the 3 week package we booked and every day he stayed happy, tried his best to keep our spirits uplifted and made sure all the little things behind the scenes were sorted so all we had to do was focus on the trek itself. I highly recommend having him as a tour guide especially if you’re trekking in the Everest Region. Also, our Porter deserves a special shout-out for showing the strength of these Nepalese people, much stronger than I could imagine to be.

I enjoyed every minute of this trip. The local staff (Gum K.C. our tour leader, and Chowang our sherpa leader, and all 5 of the porters) made the trip an amazing experience.
I had never been to Nepal or to high altitude so it was a challenge for me (at age 64) but I would most definitely do it all again in a heartbeat.

This is a fantastic tour that will get you off the beaten track. We hardly saw any other trekkers until Manang & Lake Tilicho. The pace of the trek was really thought out to assist with acclimatisation. The remote camping at the base camps & near Buddhist monastry’s was a highlight, as was the village & monastery of Phu. The tents were very spacious & the sleeping bag, fleece liner & jacket provided by World Expeditions were good quality & warm. I was happy to be camping near tea houses at times so we could use their dining area for meals, to play cards & to charge our devices (sometimes for a fee). I recommend taking a good book or two to enjoy the downtime in the afternoons.
Our guide Juddha was very experienced & really looked after us. All the crew worked hard to ensure everything ran smoothly & to schedule. The included meals were plentiful & varied & there was always enough boiling water to fill our water bottles. I highly recommend this tour & would trek with World Expeditions again!
