Off the beaten track and not as popular as the Everest Base Camp trek, this 11-day, guided trek in the Everest region brings you face to face with some of the highest mountains in the world and provides stunning sightseeing opportunities.
Join us on this Gokyo Lakes and Renjo La Pass tour and get the chance to discover the headwater of the mighty Dudh Kosi River. We will pick you up from the hotel and drive you to the airport on the first day of the tour. Catch the flight to Lukla and enjoy scenic views of the Himalayas in case the weather is clear. From Lukla, the trail travels past Phakding, Namche Bazaar and Dole before you reach Machhermo.
Explore the Gokyo lakes and see 3 of the 6 lakes in the area. Climb atop Gokyo Ri and enjoy magnificent views of Mt Everest, Lhotse, Cho Oyu, Thamserku and Nuptse, among other mountains. Then, cross Renjo La Pass on day 8 before starting your descent. We will drop you off at your hotel upon arrival in Kathmandu on the last day of the tour.

This local travel specialist was an excellent choice for our big adventure trip to Everest base camp. I did a lot of research before booking a trip and saw that they had the best reviews online. Great service, amazing experience and great adventure in the mountains!! Gokyo Cho La Pass trek with this tour agency is highly recommended. The agency is an expert in Manaslu region, Karma made all the preparations very smooth. I am a solo traveler and he helped me to find a group. All the communication was very smooth and I always got quick answers. Despite the tight schedule, the agency managed to get all the permits, and we left for the trek the day after arriving in Kathmandu. Karma and Nima are knowledgeable, responsible and funny guide/supporter, who made sure we had the best experience during the trek:) We loved the nature, villages, mountain views. I would love to return to Nepal and explore new parts of this beautiful country with this company.

Trekking around the Gokyo valley offers wonderful views of the mountain peaks and the Ngozumpa Glacier- one of the largest in the world. I booked this trek at quite short notice in September 2018.
My schedule was a bit tight so I had to cut the trip short from the standard 12 days down to 11, but this was no problem for Friends adventure who were able to fit the trek in plus an extra day of whitewater rafting as well.
Hira, my guide, was very helpful, knowledgable and friendly and made sure everything went to plan, so that I managed to make it to Base Camp and Kala Pathar as well (and I'm an unfit 50 year old who hadn't really done enough training).
The trek itself was spectacular and everything I'd hoped it would be.
I would definitely recommend Friends Adventure to anyone planning a trip to Nepal.
