We had a really nice time on our three passes Trek. I would definitely recommend doing the three passes over the normal Everest base camp trip as views are much nicer and you see more of the Everest region. Just don't rush the trip too much as you really need the time for acclimatization. Making the trip longer is always the better option then shorter and we have seen quite some people who had big issues with altitude sickness because they went up too fast. There are several peaks you can add additional to the three passes if you have enough time what I would recommend as well. Be careful with the guide you get, at the end it is your trip so he should really adapt to your wishes. Here you have to be strict that the guide is following your wishes and not you his.

The Trek was excellent - the scenery was fantastic with the clear weather in mid-October. The trekking was sometimes challenging, but never too hard for fairly fit "almost-60-year-olds". The views of Everest and its surrounding peaks, especially from Tengboche Monastery, were fantastic. If you don't feel the need, or have the time, to go all the way to Everest Base Camp, this is the trek to take!

AMAZING!!! Everyone we met through this company was just incredible and went above and beyond. Suman was our guide and he is the absolute the sweetest. He made the trek unforgettable. He is so knowledgeable - we felt so safe with him and he had an answer to everything! The prep chats the night before were the best. He made sure we knew what to expect the next day, and made sure we were always ok. Ramesh was also the greatest. He made us laugh so much and spent so much time with us. It was such a treat overall. We hiked to base camp and then to Gokyo Lake. It was a beautiful trek. We did need medical help and Suman made sure everything went so smoothly. We did Gokyo Ri trek in August. Being it monsoon season, our biggest concern was the weather. We were ensured it is doable during the rainy season as well and since we had all tickets booked and everything arranged we decided to go with it and it turned out to be the best choice! It is very beautiful in August, all the hills are green and its very warm even at the higher altitude, means less packing. And for me personally, the main advantage was that it is quiet on the trek during off-season. We still met few people, which was nice, but not too many, so you get to enjoy peace and quiet. It also gives you a better choice for accommodation. Visibility is quite good as most early morning the sky is clear and if it rains it only starts late in the afternoon and we never got wet on the trek as our guide was very knowledgeable about the weather and we had always reached our lodge by the time the rain started. I could not recommend this trek enough, it offers absolutely stunning views and Gokyo Ri is quite easy to do even being at a very high altitude. And don't be put off by monsoon rains.

My partner and I had the most amazing experience with this local travel specialist. We completed the three high passes + EBC trail, with my partner even going on to summit Island Peak (successfully!). Our guide Kanchha Tamang made sure we had the best experience - a well planned itinerary to ensure we acclimatised properly, looking out for any signs of AMS, looking after us when we both got sick with viruses on the trail. We had flexibility to change our itinerary a bit to maximise our chance of the best views as we were walking quicker than expected. Kanchha always made sure we had fun, made great memories, learned lots about the culture and history of the regions we were in, and supported us so well through what can be a pretty challenging few weeks on the trail. We miss him already! Special shout-out to our amazing porter Jiban, without whom the trek would not have been possible and for whom we are so grateful. And another special mention to Rajendra who managed our trip and who goes truly above and beyond for his clients. When we mentioned to Kanchha we were interested in exploring Pokhara after our trek had finished, he called Rajendra who then arranged everything for us (flights, accomodation, recommendations for activities, booked us in for paragliding). When we got stranded in Lukla for a few days due to grounded planes, it is due to the tireless efforts of Kanchha & Rajendra that we were able to get out of the mountains on a helicopter and continue our holiday.

We can highly recommend doing this Trek. It is a tough hiking trek (since you will be at very high altitudes for multiple days in a row) but the views make up for it - the landscape is stunning. Our Guide (Sanchaman Rai) explained a lot and did his best so that we felt always safe and secure. When we could not finish the first pass (Kongma La) - Sanchaman adjusted our plan so that we could do the other two passes, even though we lost a day. All in all it was a great trek with a great tour agency. (Hint: If you think about doing the Trek in less than 16Days - it may be possible, but make sure that you acclimatize correctly otherwise you will not enjoy the experience :-). In our opinion 16 Days is the perfekt amount of time).
